I stood at the kitchen counter pouring milk into my bowl of cereal when I heard the locks click. I looked out the window. The sun had barely risen above the horizon. Why would someone be here this early in the morning?

I set my bowl of cereal on the table as the door swung open. To my surprise, Cameron stood on the other side.

I ran up to him. I stopped abruptly at the doorway. I didn't know who had brought him and I didn't want to hug him in case it was Hannah.

Cameron stepped in the door and wrapped his arms around me. Hannah's dad walked in after him.

I wrapped my arms around Cameron's neck. I buried my face in his neck. I tried to take in all of him. All that I had missed, his warm skin, his scent, the soft beating of his heart.

I looked up at him. "I missed you so much."

He kissed me gently on my nose. "It's been a long month."

I giggled and kissed him. "I can't believe you're here."

He wiped the tears from my eyes with his thumbs, holding my face in his hands. "Hannah left for a day to see her aunt." "Her aunt got a crib built." "Hannah told her aunt she's pregnant."

"She's not right?" I pretended to look confused.

Cameron laughed and hugged me tightly. "Oh, Kate." "At least you didn't stop being funny."

I laughed. I turned my head to look at Hannah's dad. "So how is it Hannah can go out all the time and not have anyone catch on that she kidnapped two people?"

Hannah's dad motioned to the couch. "Let's sit."

We pulled out of each other's arms and sat down on the couch. I leaned my head on Cameron's shoulder.

"Well, Hannah always wears a disguise when she goes out." "She has a whole collection of wigs and contacts." "She also loves doing her makeup."

"What about vehicle?" "Wouldn't they recognize the van?"

"She has a truck that she takes out." "We haven't used the van since that night."

I looked to Cameron. "And the baby thing?"

He shrugged. "Her newest obsession." "She has been turning the guest room that we used for the wedding into a nursery." "She'll disappear for a couple hours at a time and I'll go looking for her." "She's always in there rocking in the chair playing with a stuffed bunny." He held my hand. "It's weird, Kate."

I rubbed his back. "Just hang in there." I turned to Hannah's dad. "Any progress towards getting us found?"

"Well, Hannah smashed my phone because she found out that I told her brother at least part of the truth about her 'marriage'." "But I'm hoping that I can convince my son to meet up with me so we can discuss what the best next step would be." "I would try to sneak you out myself, but Hannah hid the keys to both vehicles."

"She's been tightening her grip on you?" I looked at him, worried.

"Yeah, I think she's catching on that I don't want to participate in this anymore."

"Has anyone been looking into the fact that she kind of married Cameron Dallas?"

"There've been some articles written." "But most people are under the impression that he just wanted to start a life under the radar."

I shook my head. "They're not looking for us anymore?"

Cameron squeezed my hand. "I'm sorry, Kate." "She made me make a post saying I was leaving social media." "I had to delete my Twitter and Snapchat."

"They're not looking for us anymore!?" I said hysterically. Tears ran down my face.
