Colton POV
It takes us 20 and a half hours until we make it to LA. I haven't slept but Grace slept most of the ride. It's around ten at night and I go to her house.
"Okay. Hang on." I say to Gracie. I go and knock on the door. Her dad answers.
"Oh... Hi... Is Demi here?" I ask.
"Maybe. Who are you?"
"I'm Colton...." He just stares at me. "My sister was in the treatment center with Demi. We've been talking and I wanna talk to her."
"... She doesn't live here." He gives me her address along with an uneasy look.
"Thanks." I say. I turn around and get into the car.
"Was that her dad?" Grace asks.
"Yup." I get to Demi's apartment. "Wait in the car." She nods. I take a deep breathe and get out. I knock on the door and a girl answers.
"Of course..." I say. "Is Demi here?"
"Maybe. Who are you?"
"I'm Colton. I'm her friend. Can I see her." She closes the door a little so I can't look in.
"Demi!" She yells.
"What?" I hear Demi's beautiful voice say.
"You have a visitor." She comes down in sweats, a band shirt, no makeup, and glasses.
"Colton?" She says.
"Hi..." She closes the door and steps outside. She sees Gracie in the car and smiles and waves. Grace smiles and waves back.
"What are you doing here?" She asks.
"Uh..." My mind goes completely blank and I lose all the words that was about to come out of my mouth. Shit..
