Chapter 61 part 1-3

Demi POV

The new year comes. I leave for tour in three days. It's a Sunday evening and Colton is on his way back from camping with Corey. They went hiking and camping from Friday till Sunday which gave me time to get his party set up. He graduates next week but I'll be in Kansas City and have a show the night he graduates so I won't be able to make it. So I'm throwing him a party now. Grace and her boyfriend flew down here and are here helping me set up. Well Gracie is keep Kenzie company. It's hard keeping a one year old entertained. She's crawling all around trying to talk but not succeeding. She just mumbles a lot of words. The party gets set up, then our families and everyone from his school shows up. The door opens and more people come in just as we see lights pull up. "Everyone hide!" I yell. I take Kenzie and hide behind the door so that I can be the first one to give him a hug. He walks in with Corey and turns the lights on. "Congrats!" Everyone yells. He looks confused at first. I hug him from behind and he turns around. "What's this?" He asks kissing my forehead. "Well since I can't be here when you actually graduate, I'm throwing you a party now... Surprise." I say smiling. He takes Kenzie. "How's my baby girl?" He asks kissing her cheek. "Did you miss me?" He asks walking away to go talk to his friends. "Hey bud." I say as Corey hits my leg. "Are you tired?" He nods. "Wanna go lay down?" He nods again. I take him upstairs and lay him in his bed. "If you can't sleep just come down okay?" He nods before closing his eyes. I go downstairs and here the doorbell go off. Nobody goes to answer it so I go, only to be confronted by the whore herself... Hailee.

Demi POV

"Hi." She says with a smile on her face. "What're you doing here?" I ask, angry and confused. "I heard Cole is graduating and that he's having a party tonight so I wanted to come by and say congratulations." She says like we're best friends. "Listen..." I'm cut off by Colton. "Who's at the door?" He asks before looking. "Hailee..." I says shocked but sympathetically. "Just wanted to come by and say congrats on graduating..." He nods and it's silent. I look back and forth at them before walking away. I decide to go upstairs and check on Corey.

Colton POV

"So you guys worked everything out?" She asks. "Yeah..." I say. "That's good. How's your son?" "He's good. We just got back from a camping trip." "And your daughter?" "Beautiful. Her names Makenzie. She's one now." "Wow... Time flys huh?" I nod and look around to see where demi went but can't see her. "You should probably get going." "Alright. I guess I'll see you at graduation then." "Didn't you graduate last semester?" I ask confused. "Yeah... But my friends are graduating this time and I wanna see them... And you too... So I'll see you then." She says smiling before walking out. I close the door and go upstairs. I go to Corey's room and see Demi sitting on the floor watching him sleep. I knock lightly. "Can we talk?" She gets up and walks past we without looking at me. What the hell did I do?

Colton POV

I go into the bedroom and close the door. She turns to me. "Why was that slut just standing on my front porch?" She asks pissed off. "Hell if I know." "Have you been talking to her?" "No!" I say mad that she would accuse me of that. "And even if I was... Can I not be friends with woman?" I ask. "Not with woman you cheated on me with." She says. "A year ago." "So that means it's okay just because you've been faithful for a year? Or haven't you?" "Fuck you." I say losing my temper and walking closer to her. "I have had nothing to do with her since that day I kicked her out of my house... And it pisses me off that you still look at me like that... I made a mistake... We all have, but I didn't make it again." "Calm down..." She says quietly. "It was just a question." "It was a stupid one... You don't trust me do you?" I ask. She stares at me. "Demi... Answer the question." "I don't know." She says. "It's just weird how out of no where she decides to show up to "congratulate" you." Im about to say something when the door opens. "Hey bud." I say as Corey walks in. "I'm hungry." He says. "Alright. Let's go get something to eat." I pick him up and walk out, not looking at Demi once. The party ends and I put the kids to bed and finish cleaning up the house. It's around eleven when I'm done. I take a shower in the kids bathroom and then go into the bedroom in nothing but a towel. Thankfully Demi's in the shower. I slip my boxers on before dropping my towel. I throw a shirt and flannel pants on before grabbing a pillow and blanket and going downstairs

Demi POV

I get out of the shower and go lay in bed only to find Colton's pillow gone. I sigh and go downstairs quietly. I turn the light on and he looks at me before turning over and closing his eyes. "Colton I'm sorry... Please come up to bed..." He doesn't though. I roll my eyes and go back upstairs. I leave in three days and I just want to be in my fiancés arms. I lay down and cry for a little bit until I hear the door open. I quickly wipe my eyes and close my eyes. The bed sinks next to me and I turn over. "Why are you crying?" Colton asks which makes me cry again. He lays down and I lay on his chest. "I hate when we fight." "I do too." He says. "I do trust you... More than anything and you know that." He nods. I kiss his chest and take his hand. "Love you." "Love you too."
