Chapter 58 part 1-3

Demi POV

We eat and just talk. We haven't had a date like this in a while. Soon paparazzi show up and stand on the spot where the sand ends and take a picture of us. "Can we not do anything?" I ask annoyed. "I planned this..." He says standing up. I look at him. "Come here. It's time for your second surprise..." We walk over to where a boat is along with a parachute looking thing on it. "Colton..." "We're going parasailing." "Hell if we are." He picks me up bridal style and sits me on the boat as its drove off. "Colton." I say as he hands me the seat. "This isn't even a fucking seat." "It will be. Trust me. It's fun..." I buckle it where it needs to be bucked and we sit on the side of the boat as it stops. They buckle the parachute to our waists and we stay sitting. I take his hand as the parachute is thrown into the air. The two guys hold us as the boat starts to move. The help us up so that we don't go into the water and we fly up into the air. "Holy shit..." I say squeezing Colton's hand. He laughs. We parasail over the water. "Babe..." Colton say. I look and we watch the sun set over the ocean. "Wow..." I say. "This is beautiful... I love you." "I love you too." We parasail for over a half an hour until they bring us down. It's dark now. I'd call my mom but the kids are probably asleep so I decide not too. We enjoy a dessert and talk some more until we stand hand in hand with our feet in the water. It's around midnight when we head to my moms house. Once we get to her neighborhood we here a siren behind us. We pull over and watch a fire engine and ambulance drive past us right down the street to my moms house. I look at Colton. He takes my hand. "I'm sure it's fine." He says as he turns down the road towards the lights.

Demi POV

We get to my moms house and my fears are right. The fire engine along with firefighters are out with hoses as smoke fills the air over the house. The ambulance is parked on the grass. I get out and run over to where the ambulance is. "Ma'am you can't go over there." A guy says. "Those are my kids." I say passing by him. My mom is sitting on the back of the ambulance getting looked at. "Demi..." She says crying. "Where are the kids?" She points over to the the police car here. I go over and immediately pick up Kenzie, kneeling down to hug Corey, hugging them both. Colton picks up Corey and I keep Kenzie in my arms as we do a group hug. I start crying and put my hands through Corey's hair checking him. "Are you okay?" "Yes. Granddad left doe." He says. I look over at my crying mother and hand Colton Kenzie and I walk over there. I sit next to her and she tells me the he got Corey and Kenzie out but his leg caught on fire in the process and is heading to the burn unit now with second degree burns. I hug my mother and watch as they put the last flame out. The firefighters talk to us and then leave along with the ambulance and the police officer. I take my kids and just hold them. I look up at my parents house. The police officer said it'll take a few days for insurance to get them money so for now my moms gonna stay with us. We get in the car and I sit in the back in between the kids car seats and head to the hospital to see dad. "Where's Mad?" I ask. "She's over at Dallas'." "I'll call them when we get there then." They nod. We drop my mom off and I tell her I'll be back later. I wanna get the kids home in their own bed and too set up the guest room for her and Maddie.

Demi POV

The next day I let Corey stay home from school since he's a little shaken from last night. The kids are asleep, Maddie and mom are in the guest room and Colton just left for training. Since Christmas is coming up I'm gonna start my Christmas shopping along with setting up a party for Colton. January 17th Colton graduates from his Police Academy and can finally start doing what he loves to do so before I leave again to tour the other countries I'm gonna throw him a party. We've decided not to get married until after my world tour is over and then I might calm down for a couple months just to spend time with my family. I go into the bedroom and wake Mad up. "Maddie... I need you to watch the kids. Mom and I gonna visit dad." I say. "Do I get paid?" "Sure..." I say just wanting her to get up. "Alright." Mom and I leave. We spend some time visiting dad, go to a few stores and then we head home. I walk in with the bags and immediately drop them. "Madison!" I yell as I pick up my baby girl covered in glue and markers. Corey's sitting on the couch covered in the same thing along with my 40 inch tv. My mom stands there looking around in shock. I look at Corey. "Corey, did you do this?" "Kenzie did too!" He whines. "Where's Madison?" He points to the room. I go in after handing Kenzie to my mom and she's playing the X-Box with headphones on. I take them off. "What?" She asks. "Come look at my living room." She walks out and stops dead in her tracks. "That was like that when I left." She says. I look at her. "Alright I'm sorry... I'll get it cleaned up." "I know you will... Thank you." I say sarcastically. I take Corey's hand and carry Kenzie upstairs to the bathroom.

Colton POV

I get home from training and go inside to see Maddie scrubbing our tv. "What's going on?" I ask. "I wasn't watching the kids and they messed up your house... I'm in charge of cleaning it now." She says. "Don't worry about it. I'll get it." I say. She smiles and gives me a side hug. "Thanks... Demi's a little upset. I don't think it's just about this." She says. "I know... Where is she?" "Bathroom." I go upstairs, dropping my bag off in the bedroom and walk into the bathroom. "Hey." I say. She looks at me with her hair up in a messy bun, a rag in her hand leaning over the bathtub. I giggle. "I heard about today." I look at Corey who's standing naked covered in paint in markers. She takes Kenzie out of the bath and wraps her in a blanket. "Go get her dressed. I'll wash Corey." "Thanks." She says. I give both my girls a kiss on the forehead before putting Corey in the bath... That night after dinner and after cleaning up the living room and tv the kids get put to bed. Diana and Maddie go into the room and I go in with Demi. She's laying on her stomach. "When does your dad get out?" I ask. "He'll be there for at least five weeks but they said he's doing good." "That's good. So he'll be in there for Christmas?" She nods. "sorry." "It's not your fault... I do wanna find them a house though..." I nod. "And maybe in the process we can find us a house." "We have a house... Two of them." "Exactly. You have a house, I have a house... WE need a house... Together." I pick her up and she lays on top of me with her head on my chest as I run my hands through her hair. "I love you." "I love you too... How many kids do you wanna have?" She asks. "Why?" I ask. "I don't know. Do you want more?" She asks looking up at me. "I'd have a hundred kids with you... You don't want a hundred do you?" "Hell no." She says. I laugh. "Maybe after tour and and after the kids get a little older we can try for more?" She asks. "If that's what you want... In a few months Kenzies gonna be one years old and Corey's gonna be six... Feels like just yesterday when a woman showed up on my doorstep with my two year old son." I say shocked at how long it's been. "Our son." Demi says looking up. "Our son..." I say before connecting our lips.
