Chapter 70 part 1-3

Demi POV
They finish putting in the medication and I start to get really cold. They said its from the medication. They give me a menu incase I'm hungry and they leave. "I'm gonna run home and get a few things and then I'll be back okay." "It's fine... Stay home." I say. "I'm not gonna leave her alone here." "Babe it's fine. I'm gonna fall asleep here soon and I'm sure that chair isn't comfortable..." "Alright... Then I'll see you in the morning." He kisses my head, pulls the blanket over me as I shiver and put on the hospital socks that they give you and then leaves.
Colton POV
I get home and walk in. "Kids... Grace..." They come out, Kenzie wrapped in a towel. "Hey baby girl." I say picking her up. I kiss her nose and she smiles. "I have some news. Come sit down." I sit Kenzie on my lap and Corey sits next to me while Grace sits on the chair next to the couch. "So... Mama's gonna be stuck in the hospital all night." I say. "Why?" Corey asks. "Because she's really sick." "I want mommy." Kenzie says crossing her arms. "Well she can't come home tonight. She will be home tomorrow though." She shakes her head and starts to cry. "Stop whining..." I say as I rub her back and kiss her head. "If it's just the flu then why does she need to stay over night?" Grace asks. I look at Corey. "Go take Kenzie upstairs and pick her out some clothes for her..." He nods and takes her hand, leading her upstairs. I turn to Gracie once their out of sight. "She's pregnant and her high blood pressure from the flu can cause problems with the pregnancy so their keeping her on medication over night to bring it down." "Awww. Well congratulations... I'm gonna be another aunt." She says excited. "Shhh... Don't tell the kids. I want Demi to be able to be here to tell them." She nods and I get some stuff packed. I tuck the kids in and head to the hospital. I don't care what Demi says. I'm not having my wife alone in the hospital over night. I get there and walk in slowly. She's asleep. I take her slippers out of the bag and slowly put them on to help her chills. "Your stubborn." She moans. I laugh. "Yeah... Go to sleep." "If your staying your not sleeping on a chair." She says scooting over. I get the fluffier blanket out of the bag and lay next to her as she cuddles to me. Her cold hands touching my stomach. "Shit... Your that cold?" She nods. I cover us up and take her hand, holding them. I kiss her head and we both fall asleep.

Colton POV
The next morning I wake up. I go down to the cafeteria and get some breakfast. By the time I'm back Demi's awake. She smiles as I walk in. "Good morning gorgeous." "Good morning..." She says. "Hungry?" "Yeah..." I give her the muffin and string cheese... Nothing else looked appetizing. Plus knowing her she wouldn't eat it with this diet she's been on. I smile and she takes a bite. "What?" She asks covering her mouth since theirs food in it. "Nothing..." She smiles and swallows. The doctor comes in and takes her blood pressure. He sighs and sits down. "Your blood pressure is higher than it was yesterday..." "Isn't that what the medication was for?" I ask concerned. "Babe let him finish..." Demi says. I nod and look at him. He's worried about the baby with how high it is so he decides to do an ultrasound. It's gonna be the first time seeing the baby and I'm praying to god it won't be the last time... She pulls her gown up and covers her bottom with the blanket. He puts the gel on her stomach and moves the dabber thing around. The baby comes on the screen and I feel Demi squeeze my hand a little. She looks at me and smiles shyly. I kiss her head and the doctor takes it off. "Is everything okay?" I ask. He doesn't say anything and puts a different machine on her stomach. She looks at me worried but everything changes as we hear our babies heartbeat. "There it is." He says. "How far along is she?" "... Close to two months." "How come she went that long without having any symptoms?" I ask. "Well... I kind of did." She says. "Swollen feet, weird cravings, weight gain..." She adds. I think back and kind of see it now but still... I saw the pregnancy test. "Woman can go more than four months along without knowing they were pregnant..." "Well how come I still got my period?" Demi asks. "When?" He asks. "Two or three weeks ago." She says not remembering. "Sometimes when your pregnant you can bleed and mistake that for a period. It happens to a lot of woman." He says. She nods. "So when do we get to find out what it is?" I ask. "Normally around four or five months. We'll make an appointment at four, If I can't tell then we'll do it at five." We nod. I smile as she smiles up at me. "I'm gonna discharge you but you have to stay on bed rest until your temperature and blood pressure is down... We'll have a check up next week." I nod. He gives us strips that people with diabetes use to test her blood pressure, she gets dressed and I help her get into the car.

Demi POV
We get home and go inside. They kids immediately run to me but Colton stops them. "Come upstairs with us if you wanna talk to mom." He says. "I'm fine. Get Kenz." He nods and picks her up since she still has trouble walking up the stairs. We get to the room and Grace winks at me as we walk in. I laugh. We sit down and Kenz sits on my lap. The doctor said after the first few days I wasn't contagious anymore so I'm taking his word on it. Corey sits in front of me and we talk. That night comes and I decide to take a bath. This house I still so new to me. I love it but I miss my old one too and the dogs have already messed up a few spots on the carpet which Colton was not happy about it. I go in and look around. The entire wall is covered in mirrors with silver lining around it, sinks in front of it. It's beautiful. We have a shower in the corner with see through glass door and then a jacuzzi bath tub type thing right in the center surrounded by flowers... Well Colton put the flowers there on the ground but still... It's gorgeous. I look at myself in the mirror. Then turn to the other mirrors and laugh. I here the door open and Colton walks in. "Hey." I say. He smiles and hugs me. "You still don't feel good?" He asks. "I feel weak... Like I can't really do anything. Not sick though." He nods. "Wanna get a bath with me?" He nods. We get undressed. He kisses my neck as we let the water fill. We get in and he rubs my sides giving me a massage. "So maybe we should think of some names." He says. "We don't even know what gender it is." "Yeah but we can still pick some out..." "Alright... What do you have in mind?" I ask. "For a boy... I like Colton Jr..." "You would." I say. "Well I didn't get to name Corey... So this is technically my first boy that I was there for..." He says. I nod. "Alright. We'll think about it. What else do you like?" I ask. "I kind of like Caleb.... You pick one." "Alright. If it's a boy... I like Phoenix." "What the hell kind of name is Phoenix?" He asks. "I like it!" I say hitting his chest. "Alright alright. Let's move on to girls." He says. "I already though of this. Either Kinsley or Kayla... You?" "Reagan." He says. "What kind of name is Reagan." I say mocking his tone. He laughs. "Very funny..." "Alright well when we decide what we're having we'll narrow it down from there." He nods. I smile and give him a kiss.
