Chapter 37 part 1-3

Demi POV

The end of October comes along. It's been a month since Colton and I have broken up. I talk to him sometimes, he's been really good about the baby and stuff but I still can't fully trust him... I love him still with all my heart and that will never change no matter what but once the trust is gone, it doesn't come back. Today is the first of the live shows. I'm nervous because I've started showing and haven't told anybody publicly and also because lives shows can get very stressful. I'm about to leave when I realize I left my phone at Colton's house from last night when I went to see Corey. I look at the time and see I have just enough time to go get it.

Colton POV

I'm in class when I phone vibrates. I look who it Is and it's Hailee. "I see you👀." I laugh a little considering it's funny but then put my phone away without responding. I don't need to get in trouble with my teacher. I feel it vibrate again and look at her. "Look..." She mouths. I look at the text. "Wanna hangout?" I look at her awkwardly. She knows that I'm trying to get Demi back and we haven't even talked for a month. I don't text back. She keeps texting my phone. The vibration on the chair starts to get loud. By bud Henry turns to me telling me he can hear it. I cave and tell her fine before putting my phone away. I look at her through the corner of my eye and she's smiling.

Colton POV

After the day I go home and see Hailee's car in my drive way. I sigh and get out. We go inside and sit down. "So what did you wanna talk about?" I ask. "Well it's been a month and you and your girlfriend haven't gotten back together." "How do you know that?" "Your girlfriends Demi Lovato. It's not hard to find out." I shake my head. "We can't go out. I'm still trying to get her back and this is not gonna do that." "Why are you still trying? It's been a month. She obviously doesn't want you back." "You don't even know the situation." I say getting pissed. "Sure I do. You cheated on her with me... She broke your dumb ass after getting pregnant with your kid and now you chasing after a woman who probably doesn't look at you any different than she does her father..." She says. "Get the fuck out of my house." I say standing up. Then I hear the door open. I turn around to see Demi... "I just came to get my phone..." She says picking it up off the side table by the door. "Bye." She says before walking out. "She's kind of fat." Hailee says. "Yeah. She's kind of pregnant." I go outside following demi. "Wait... Demi... Demi!" I say catching up to her and turning her around. She has a few tears that slipped her eyes. "Nothing happened." "Yeah okay..." She says looking away. "I promise nothing happened. I literally just kicked her out when you opened the door." "And I'm suppose to believe that?" "Yes... I came home from school and she was here." "You still invited her in." "To talk..." "What did she say?" "That's not important." "Yeah it is. I wanna know what she said if that's all you did was talk." "She said..." I'm about to tell her when Hailee walks out. She waves bye before getting in her car. We watch as she pulls out, smiling out the window before leaving. Demi looks down and then at me. "I gotta go to work." "Please just..." I sigh. "Call me later so I know you got home okay?" "Sure." She gets into her car and drives off. "Mother fucker!" I yell before sitting on the ground, rubbing my face. I sit there thinking until it's time to get Corey.

Demi POV

After X-factor is over I do press and interviews, then head home. As I get there I say bye to my driver and get out noticing a car in my driveway. I go to the porch and see Colton sitting on the chair. He gets up when he sees me. "Hey." He says. "Hi..." I say confused on why he's here. "Can we talk?" "Yeah. Just let me change..." We go inside. "I'll be down in a minute." "Okay." He sits down, I let the dogs out and then go upstairs. I change into a T-shirt and shorts, take my make up off and brush through my blue hair I dyed for live shows. I brush my teeth and then go downstairs. "Okay." I say sitting down. "What do you wanna talk about?" I ask. "Today." "Well I don't wanna talk about it." "Why? We're not gonna get anywhere if we don't communicate and talk about our problems. That's your problem. You act like you don't even want to give this a chance and if you don't then tell me, cause I'm wasting my time if you don't see us getting back together." "Colton I don't know. I'm busy right now with X-Factor. I'm going on tour..." "Wait... What?" He says. "What?" I ask confused. "Your going on a tour? When?" "Well the dates were for February but I'll still be pregnant then so were gonna have to push the dates back." "So once you have the baby your going on tour." "Six weeks after yeah..." I say. He looks away pissed off. "Colton just because I got pregnant I can't change it... We've announced the tour, people have bought tickets already... I can't do that." "So is the baby going with you?" "Either that or it'll stay here with you." "I have school." He says. "Then it'll go with me. I have people to watch it on tour." He cringes. "What?" I ask. "I don't like calling the baby it." "Well we don't know what it is." I say getting pissed at him. "Look I didn't come here to fight. I want to know what your thinking about us." "Where is all of this coming from. Did that whore say something?" "No. But I've realize that I can't follow you for ever. I need to know." "Well I don't know myself." I say honestly. "Okay. Then tell me what I can do to help you decide." I'm about to answer when I hear a glass fall in the kitchen. "What was that?" As we stand up the ground starts to shake. "It's an earthquake..." Colton says taking my hand. We go into the guest room I have and sit in the corner. There's nothing on the walls around us so this is probably one of the safest places for us. The lamp falls of the nightstand, the lights go out everywhere in the house, we hear things flying off the shelves in the kitchen and all I'm thinking about is Corey. "Where's Corey?" I ask over the noise. "With your sister." That calms me down knowing Dallas is responsible when it comes to Corey. We sit there together until the earthquake stops.
