Chapter 19 part 3

Demi POV

I get a text from Colton asking if I can watch Corey for a little bit cause he wants to go out with some of his work buds. I agree and decide to wake him up.

"Cor... C'mon bud wake up." He opens his eyes and lifts his head to show one side of cute curls and one side of flat hair where he was laying on. I laugh at his cuteness.

"Wanna go get some icecream?"

"You don't have to ask me twice." He says getting up. I laugh.

"Can you put Barkley in the cage for me?" He nods and takes Barkley. I find my purse and keys.

"Ready?" I ask as he walks out.

"Yup." He says walking past me. We go to Dairy Queen and of course there's paps.

"Stay close to me okay?" He nods and I take his hand. As we walk through I almost trip. Corey is holding onto my leg, practically tripping me as I walk. We finally get in and order.

"Cookie Dough." We both say at the same time. I laugh.

"Two cookie dough in a cake cone please..." Corey tugs at my hand.

"Tinkles." He whispers to me.

"With sprinkles." I add to the order. They give us our order and we sit down on the hand chairs they have. Corey laughs as he leans against the thumb. I laugh too.

"Eat your ice cream before it melts." He nods and licks his ice cream cone. I get a text from Colton saying he's on his way back to my house.

"Ready to go home to daddy." He shrugs.

"You okay?"

"Yeah." He says lying. "

What's up?"

"Nothing." He says in an attitude I've never seen him have.

"Okay. Ready to go?" He nods and we get into the car. We get back to my house and Colton's there. I put Corey into his truck and give him a kiss.

"See you soon okay?" He nods and I close the door.

"Hey." I say to Colton.

"Hey." He says getting into his car. He closes the door and rolls down the windows.

"I'll see you later?" He says. I flinch at the smell of his breathe.

"Are you drunk?" I ask.

"No... I'll see you soon." He says before pulling out of my driveway...
