Chapter 23 part 1

Demi POV

Nathan is a guy I've been getting to know better. We're not serious but he's very understanding of my situation with Corey and is always nice to talk to if I need a friend. We sit down after hugging. We order and then talk. I keep talking about how I'm nervous about taking care of Corey during auditions and stuff.

"I'm sorry. I'm rambling..." I say. He smiles.

"It's okay..."

"So what about you? How have you been?"

"Good. I've been working a lot. I'm leave for the Military soon and I'm trying to train... It's a lot of work." I nod. They bring our food out and we eat. Once were done they bring the check.

"Any dessert?" Nate looks at me. I shake my head no.

"No thanks. Just the check." She hands it to Nate but I take it fast.

"Demi c'mon. I'm paying."

"No I'm paying."

"Demi you have a kid to take care of."

"Yes. I also had my own tv show and am a judge on the X-Factor. I think I have enough money to pay for a thirty dollar lunch." He takes it from me.

"No." He says before inserting his card. I shake my head. We pay and go outside.

"So when can I see you again?" I shrug.

"I'm leaving tomorrow so it might not be until I get back in the beginning of August."

"Okay. I can wait." He says. I smile at how sweet he is. He leans in and gives me our first kiss.

"I'll call you?" I nod. He opens my door for me and I get in. He hands me my left over food and closes the door. I start my car and pull out.
