Chapter 22 part 3

Demi POV

After these months, July comes. We spent Colton's birthday at the park so he could be with Corey. We had a birthday cake and I got him a small gift... From Corey. I really have no idea what happened with him. He was fine, then for three weeks did crazy shit and he's back to his normal self. He's making jokes and stuff...

Today is the last day me and Corey are in LA. I've had three days of LA auditions and tomorrow Corey and I fly out to Denver. I love my new judges, Kelly and Pau Pau. They're my family all ready and we've only knew each other for two weeks and were already close. Colton's gonna come over for the day and spend it with Corey. I'm washing our dishes from breakfast when he walks in.

"Hey." He says dropping the keys on the counter.

"Hi."

"Need help?"

"You can get Corey dressed. He's still in pajamas." He walks out and I finish the dishes. I go find them and they're in Corey's room I gave him when he moved in playing with his train set.

"I'm gonna go out for a little bit. Need anything?"

"Wait... Am I allowed to be alone with him?" He asks.

"Your his father."

"I know but..."

"Colton it's just like leaving him with a babysitter. It's fine. I'll be back in a couple hours." He nods and I leave. I get to a restaurant and walk in. I check my phone to make sure I have the reservation time right and then go to the podium thing.

"Hi Lovato?"

"Right this way." She takes me to a two person table and I sit down. I get a text and smile. Three minutes later the door opens and I tall figure walks to me.

"Hey!" I say giving him a hug.

"Hey beautiful." Nathan says..
