Chapter 56 part 1-3

Colton POV

On my way home from training I turn my phone on. I have a text from Demi and two from Tori's mom. I see Demi's first. "Whoops..." Then a picture of her arm in a cast. "The fuck?" I say calling her. "Hey babe." She says answering. "What the fuck did you do?" She laughs. "I fell and sprained it." "You are a clumsy son of a bitch." She laughs again. "So can you not perform?" "I can. I just can't play any instruments for a couple shows." "Alright. I'm pulling up to your moms to get Kenz. I'll video chat tonight after your show. Good luck and I love you." "Love you too. Tell Kenz and Corey I love them." "Alright." I hang up and get Kenzie before heading to Tori's. I forgot her mom texted me so I read the texts. "Something happened at school with Corey. The school couldn't get ahold of you so I picked him up early with Tori. He's at my house now." I text back. "What happened?" She sends a picture of Corey with a wrap on his arm. I get to her house and knock on the door with Kenz in my arm. She lets me in and I go to Corey. I unwrap his arm with whatever the nurse wrapped it with and saw his arm all bruised. "What happened?" I ask him. He doesn't say anything. "Corey Fitzgerald." He doesn't say anything still. "He wouldn't talk to the nurse. The other kids said he fell off the playground equipment." Tori's mom says. "Did you fall?" I ask him. He shrugs. "Alright. Well I guess we'll be taking a trip to the emergency room tonight." I pick him up with my free arm, Kenzie in the other, and pass Tori and her mom. "Thank you... Bye Tori." I say. They say bye and I get into the car. I take a picture of his arm and send it to Demi. "Guess you and Corey are twinning..." She doesn't answer. She's probably at soundcheck so I head to the doctor to see what really happened to his arm.

Demi POV

After my show its around 11:00 by the time I'm on the bus and settled. I get on my computer and Skype with Colton. "Hey babe." He says answering topless. "Hey sexy." He smiles. "Did you get my text?" He asks. "No my phones turned off. Why?" "Corey broke his arm." I almost choke on the water I was drinking. "What?" I ask. "He "fell off" the playground at school." "... What's the "quotations"." I ask using my fingers. "I don't think he fell." "Colton. Your paranoid." "No I'm not. He got into a fight with that kid at school last week, he refuses to show any attention when we're in front of them and he stopped talking once he got into the fight. What if he's being bullied?" "Colton they're five year olds. There idea of bullying is picking there nose and putting it on somebody." "... Eww." He says. "Just saying." "Alright. Maybe your right. Just paranoid." "I can only imagine when Makenzie goes to school. She'll come home with a speck of dirt on her shirt and all hell'll break lose." He laughs. "Is he awake?" "No. It's midnight here. He has school tomorrow.... Not that I want him to go." "Paranoid." I sing. "Whatever. Look at his cast." He puts his phone up to the camera. It's green with dinosaurs on it. "I see daddy's the first signature." He nods pulling the phone away. "Tell him I'll sign it when I get home." "Alright. Well I'm gonna crash. Can't wait for you to be home." He says frowning. "I can't wait to come home. Love you." "Love you too. I'll call you in the morning." "Alright." We hang up and I make a collage of both of our casts and put it on Twitter. "Twinning with the little one... Sorry mommy can't be there Cor Bear... Feel better and I'll see you soon.😪😘💕."

Demi POV

The beginning of December comes and tour is over... Well the North American leg. After the new year I'm leaving again but it's the holidays so I'm going home. Corey doesn't know I'm coming home today so I'm gonna surprise him at the end of the day but for now I'm going to see Kenzie. I get to Colton's house and walk inside. "Hello?" I say taking the key out the door. I turn around and immediately have muscles wrapped around my body. I give him a hug and we literally stand there for ten minutes just hugging. "I missed you." He mumbles into my neck. "I missed you too... Where's Kenz?" "In here." We walk into the living room and my eyes immediately go to my baby girl... Not much of a baby anymore. She's standing up, leaning against the side of her playpen, head full of brown hair and her three teeth in the front coming in. I cover my mouth about to cry from missing her for so long. She jumps up and down when she sees me. I pick her up and she lays her head on my shoulder as I wrap my arms around her. "Hey baby girl..." I say kissing her cheek. Colton couldn't make it to any of the shows due to his training so I haven't seen them in person since I left and Kenzie has gotten so big. I sit on the couch and she sits on my lap. "Can you smile for me?" I ask. She just looks at me so I start tickling her in order for me to get to see her teeth coming in. She has three in the front and two in the back. "I bet that's been fun." I say. Colton nods. "Endless nights of tears... Then training all day... Bundles of fun." I laugh and give him a kiss. I spend time with them until its time to pick Corey up from school. We decided to pick him up just a little early so he doesn't get on the bus. He still won't talk. We've gotten used to it and know when he's ready he'll talk. He still has a cast. Not a hard one, one like what I wore when I sprained my arm. We sign him out and the call him down. "Hey bud." I hear Colton say. He must be walking towards him. He turns the corner and sees me. "Mommy!" He yells running to me. I smile after hearing his voice for the first time in three months. I give him a hug. "I missed you." I say. "I missed you too." "And I missed your voice! What happened to that?" I ask. He shrugs and smiles. "Ready to go?" He nods. We get into the car and head back to Colton's house.
