Chapter 25 part 2

Demi POV

Corey, Colton and I spend the day watching movies. I didn't really wanna do anything. I ignored everyone's calls... I just wanted to be left alone. Corey falls asleep around noon and soon after our movie ends. I mute it cause I hate commercials. I scroll through trying to find some new movies to watch.

"So did your fuck buddy call?" He asks. I look at him with the "really" look.

"Sorry... In my defense I don't know his name. Fuck buddy is the only name I know." He says.

"His name is Nathan and he called but I didn't answer."

"Why?"

"Because I didn't want to. I don't need to hear people say "sorry yours dad's dead"."

"Okay..." He says.

"Why didn't you tell me your dad died? And how come Gracie didn't either."

"I don't know... I just didn't want people to know." He says.

"Why?"

"I don't know... I thought about it when I found out he died... Neither one of my parents are gonna see me get married one day... Or see their grandchildren... Or gonna watch Gracie grow up. I thought about too many things that I shouldn't have. Then I realized that by thinking those things and acting out because of them... I lost the two people that mattered to me the most." I look down at Corey and rub the hair out of his face then back up at Colton. I'm about to say something when there's a knock at the door.

"Hang on." I say. I get up, careful not to wake Corey and open the door. Before I know it Nathan is embracing me in a hug.

"Are you okay? I flew out once I found out." He says before looking back at Colton. I look at my feet as some awkward glances are spread around the room.

"Can we talk outside?" I ask to Nathan. He nods and we go out of the room.

Demi POV

We go into the hallway and I lean against the wall.

"Nathan..."

"I get it." He says. I look at him confused. "You still like Colton." I nod.

"I was wrong about him... I'm sorry." He smiles.

"It's okay. I hope we can still be friends." I give him a hug and one last kiss.

"I do like you Nathan... But I love Colton."

"I know. It's okay." He starts to walk off and I go inside the room. Colton has on Dumb and Dumber.

"This movie is gay." I say before sitting down.

"Yeah. So is that guy." He says. I look at him with a "really" face.

"Wait... Where is he?"

"He left."

"Why?"

"Because I told him too."

"Why?" He asks again.

"Because I broke up with him."

"Why?" He asks again.

"Can you just watch the movie?" I say looking at him. He smiles and I look down hiding a smile. Once I can control myself I look up and focus my attention to the movie.

A FEW DAYS LATER

Today is Colton's last day here. The custody hearing is next week so he's gonna go back to LA for the week. He's leaving early tomorrow. Today I have off so I'm hanging out with Corey.

"Mommy..." Corey says walking in from the bathroom.

"I have a surprise for you." He says.

"Really? What's that?"

"Come here." He says. I get up and go into the hallway with him. Colton's standing there in a tux. I laugh a little and look at him.

"Hi." I say.

"Since this is my last night here, would you do me the honor of accompanying me to dinner?" He says in a fake accent trying to make me laugh. It works because I laugh a little.

"Why not." Corey jumps up to give him a high five.

"Are we leaving now?" I ask.

"Whenever your ready."

"Okay. Well then I'll be right back." He nods. I walk into the room and start throwing clothes around finding the right dress to wear.

Colton POV

"It worked." Corey whispers.

"I know." I whisper back. He smiles.

"So I get to spend the day with Maxie?" He asks.

"Yeah if that's what you want." He nods.

"Okay. I'm sure Maxie will take you out someplace."

"To get ice cream?"

"If that's what you want." He smiles.

Demi's idea of "be right back" and mine are obviously two different things. An hour later demi opens the door. Corey and I are sitting on the floor. She laughs.

"You could of come in." I get up quickly.

"You look nice." I say.

"Thanks. You too. So where are we going?"

"Well since your from Texas if you no some fun places to do we can do that. It's a little early for dinner but I do have reservations at a restaurant down the street."

"Alexander's?" She asks.

"... Quite possibly." I say trying to keep it a surprise.

"I love Alexander's!" She says excited.

"So do you know what were gonna do?"

"I have some ideas." She says.

"Like what?"

"You'll see." I roll my eyes and pick up Corey.

"Ready to spend the night with Maxie?"

"I guess." He says shrugging. We get to Max's room and he comes out dressed.

"Why are you dressed?" Corey asks.

"Cause me and you are gonna have a boys night out."

"Really!" Corey says excited.

"Yup." Max takes Corey.

"Thanks Maxie." Demi say. He nods and we leave. We get into the car and she decides to drive. We end up going to a bowling alley. She turns the car off and smiles.

"Demi I hate bowling."

"Really? Hmm... Must of forgot." She says shrugging. We go inside and she hands me a pair of socks. We get our shoes and turn around.

Everyone's starting at us. Probably because their wearing jeans and a sweatshirt while Demi's in a dress and I'm in a tux. I look at Demi.

"Lane 5..." She says walking away. I follow and we start bowling.

{Hey guys! So I'm gonna do something different. I'm already at like 75 chapters in this book and that's a lot so...

As you guys know I'm posting this on Instagram too. Well on Instagram each chapter has three parts and that's why it's always short on here so I'm gonna start posting all three parts in one chapter here...

Because of that I'm not gonna update as often but it's gonna longer chapters when I do... Technically three in one...
