Chapter 7 part 3

Demi POV

Friday night comes and it's Colton and I's first date. Him and Gracie have been staying with us in the house. Gracie has been getting along with the girls and me and Colton have gotten close too. I've learned a lot about him that I haven't known. I'm getting ready when he knocks on the door.

"What?" I call out.

"Can I come in?"

"Sure." He walks in and smiles.

"You look beautiful."

"Thank you." I'm wearing a tight black dress up to my thighs, heels, and make up along with my hair curled. I take a look at myself and sigh. I can tell Colton knows that I'm thinking. He puts his hand on my back.

"It's okay." He says. I nod.

"Ready?" He nods and we go downstairs.

"Ooooo." The girls say.

"Yeah real mature." They laugh. Grace gives us a hug and we head out.

"So where are we going?"

"Some place where nobody else will be." He says. I smile. I haven't told him yet but I don't wanna go public with our relationship if it works out tonight which I don't see why it won't. I just don't want everyone in my business.

"The car rides a half an hour long." He says.

"Okay." He puts his hand on mine.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing." I say lying while smiling. I haven't told anyone cause I can handle it but I've been really... anxious lately. I don't know if that's the right word. The first couple weeks out of treatment were fine but now that I'm getting back into my normal routine I'm worried I'm gonna go back to my old habits, which then worries me that I'll be sent back to that hell hole and it's just put a lot of pressure on me.

"Okay. Close you eyes." He says. I close my eyes. He drives for two more minutes until we stop. I hear his car door close and mine open. He helps me out. "Okay. Open them..." I open my eyes.

"Wow... This is beautiful."
