Chapter 10 part 3

Colton POV

Two days have passed and I've been in a slump. I don't know what to do but I'm hoping today will help that. I'm going down to Canada to visit my son for the very first time. I didn't do the paternity test. There is no way in hell that kid isn't mine. Demi has the first day of her last auditions today so she can't come with me but that might be for the best. She got me a plane ticket to fly out there and back tomorrow. I told her I'll pay her back but she keeps saying no. I get dressed and look at myself in the mirror.

"You really think a two year old is gonna care how you look?" Demi says walking in. I laugh.

"I'm just nervous."

"Don't be..." She gives me a kiss and then drives me to the airport. "I gotta get going but have a safe flight."

"Okay. Love you." I give her a kiss and get out. I still have two hours until my flight leaves but I wanted Demi to come with me and the only way she could was to come early in the morning. Eventually my flight takes off and I land in Canada. I go straight to where the foster home is. I knock on the door and a lady answers.

"Hi I'm Casie. You must be Colton?" I nod. "Okay. Corey is right in here." I walk in. They have a nice house. He looks well taken care of. She walks me into the living room and he's sitting on a chair, eating cereal, watching spongebob. I smile.

"Corey come here." Casie says. "I have a surprise for you." She picks him up and he looks at me.

"Hi Corey." He waves shyly.

"I'm gonna let you guys talk." She puts him down.

"Watch spongebob?" He ask pulling my hand into the living room. I sit next to him and we watch spongebob. After it's over he hands me the remote. He points to the power button and I turn it off.

"Who you?" He asks.

"... I'm uh... I'm your dad."

"This daddy..." He says pointing to a picture of a guy next to Heather holding him.

"Yeah..." I say not really knowing what to say. He shows me a bunch of his toys that he has.

"This iwan man." He says holding up his iron man toy.

"Cool..." I say smiling. The door opens and three other kids walk in. They introduce themselves as Wyatt, Zach, and Garrett. They tell me how they enjoy having Corey live with them. They all leave and I'm left spending time with Corey. Eventually I have to go.

"I have to get going." I say. He frowns.

"Will visit gain?" He asks.

"Absolutely." I give him a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

"You my new daddy." He says. I smile and nod. I take our picture and then leave.
