The drive away from the weeding was more than just a casual drive, more like my it was sad and freeing at the same time. It's was horrible leaving Jimin like that and I knew he would be embarrassed, mad and just emotional. I also knew my partners would never want to see or speak to me again, which for me what the most freeing part of all of this. I don't know if Jimin will ever forgive me and I don't expect him to but I do hope when I once come back here that we can at least have a talk about all of this.
The road started to become more familiar and I knew we were getting closer to the apartment. There was just one thing I needed to do first.
"Could we stop by the cafe?" I asked Tae breaking the silence in the car. Tae seemed to be more stressed out than me.
"What do you need back there?" He asked rushing his words turning to me with a confused look on his face.
"I have to talk to someone there" I responded calmly looking at him giving him a smile.
"Sure, if you'll be quick" he said moving his eyes back on the road ahead.
We parked at the usually busy street. It was now seven o clock and therefore not so many people were around. The cafe was right across the street and it felt both wrong and right to be here. I opened the car door and got out wanting to get over with this quick so I could go to the apartment and get my things.
As I ran across the street but I realized that I was still wearing my weeding dress. The feeling of sadness filled my heart knowing what I had ran away from. I shook the feeling off and continued across the street.
I swung the door to the cafe open and stumbled inside. Luckily for me the cafe was empty which was a good things since I was literally a run away bride still in my weeding dress.
"Hoseok!" I yelled out. I jogged towards the cashier yelling his name again. After a few long seconds he stumbled out of the kitchen. As his eyes landed on and they went went wide.
"Are you? Did you?-" he struggled with getting his words out right as he looked at me and my weeding dress.
"No, I mean yes but no" I tried explaining but failing.
"Congratulations?" He said not knowing what to say in this situation or even knowing if what was going on.
"No I left Jimin at the alter" I let out feeling myself wanting to cry by my own words. Hoseoks jaw fell down to the floor by my words.
"Well I'm sorry then" he said awkwardly.
"I'm sorry as well" I said with a nervous laugh.
"I just came to say goodbye. I'm leaving town and maybe the country and I just wanted to let you know that you'll need a new co-worker" I explained fiddling with my hands whiles looking at him nervously.
"Well, it's maybe a little short notice but I know how important this is, I try to find someone to replace you even it that's impossible" he said with a reassuring smile.
"Thank you" I breathed out with a smile.
"Are you still mad at me?" Hoseok asked referring to what he did a couple of weeks ago.
"I don't think so" I responded.
"I still feel horrible" he explained.
"Don't, it's fine. I guess it didn't work out anyways" I said with a slight laugh trying to make the situation less uncomfortable.
"There is one last thing I want to do before you leave" he explained and I furrowed my brows at him in confusion.
"The last owner of this place left something for me" he started walking towards the cashier. He leaned down getting something from under the cashier.
"He told me to use this on something that was important to me, and something I wouldn't regret" he continued getting out a black bag and walking back towards me placing the bag on a table in front of me.
"You're someone important to me and I think you'll need this more than me now" he said gesturing me to take the bag.
"What is it?" I asked confused by this whole situation.
"Money" he said simply.
"A couple of thousand in there, I think, I don't really know"
"I can't take that" I said pushing the bag back his way. That's something he may need in the future and I shouldn't take that away from him.
"You're going to travel the world and make your dreams come true Carmen, someone needs to run this cafe anyways" he argued with a smile.
"Are you sure about this?" I asked feeling bad that I was going to get this amount from him.
"Yes, I want you to go everywhere you've dreamed of and do everything you've dreamed of" he explained excitingly.
"Take it" he finished our discussion.
"Thank you so much Hoseok" I said with all my heart walking around the table pulling him into a tight hug.
"No problem Carmen" he said simply. I pulled away and gave him a smile before taking the bag and leaving the cafe behind.
I ran across the street again and sat back down in Tae's warm car.
"You get what you come for?" Tae asked.
"More than that" I said simply looking over at the cafe feeling my heart warm up. I had never been so grateful for anything than I was for Hoseok doing that for me.
There was only one last thing to do and that would be the most painful thing too. I had to go back to the apartment and get my things. The only positive thing was that, when I left that apartment for the last time after tonight, it would be the start of something amazing.
