Chp : 36 - Alliance

Ara controlled her urge to cry as she felt guilty for whatever was happening. Her legs felt numb as they gave up on her and she collapsed on the ground covering her face. She felt Chen's hand on her shoulder rubbing her shoulder gently trying to comfort her. That's when something struck Chen's mind, something that could be realted to the kidnapping. It wasn't something but someone, it was 'YURI'. "I want to talk to you Ara, it's pretty important" Chen whispered in a low voice for only Ara to hear. She nodded as she gathered all the strength in her to get up and walk in another room. "W-what?" Ara stuttered. "YURI" is all Chen said making Ara's eyes go wide in shock. Someone they didn't doubt more like forgot to. They didn't have any idea who Yuri was which scared Ara. Chen sighed before dictating the situation to Ara.

Chen's P.O.V

Flashback

It was this morning when I decided to leave the house for some reasons. I wanted to take my mind of things so I decided to go to the park near us. As I was on my way my stomach growled probably because I didn't eat anything earlier. I decided to grab some waffles and coffee before going to the park. I walked to the coffee shop and placed my order. I was waiting for my order when I heard a familiar voice. I turned to the direction from where the voice came. It was Hana with some girl. I put on my cap and mask so that they won't recognise me. That's when the lady handed me my food. I took a seat across from them so I could hear them properly. What seemed weird was the girl with Hana felt oddly similar to someone. Her hair was as short as Jennie's but her fashion style was completely opposite. The girl was wearing a mask but her voice was extremely similar to Jennie.

"Yuri, how was it working with my dad? Since it was your first time I must ask" Hana said as she took a sip of her coffee. 'Yuri' that name, I've heard it before. Realisation hit me hard, Yuri was the Hana's best friend with whom Hana shared everything. But what was weird was none had ever seen. She was almost like a person who never existed. No one knew anything about Yuri as well as Jennie. Jennie's and Yuri's personalities had major differences so it's useless to doubt Jennie. But what work was Hana even talking about?

"Spying wasn't my thing... at least that's what I thought but it seems like I'm really good at it. And it was good working for your dad as long as the terms of our deal don't change" Yuri replied as she looked at Hana as if expecting for another question or complement. "Well you surely did a great job, those idiots knew that there was a spy behind them but they never suspected you" Hana said as she laughed wickedly. "Well considering it was my first time they were pretty easy, specially that Ara, she's the dumbest of them both. But you know the deal, once all of this is over, I don't know you" Yuri replied clenching her fist. Why is she so pissed at Ara? Does she know Ara in person? And she was the spy who was spying on us, Yuri. "Today is a big day remembers? It's the only way we could trap Ara and Chen. Father wants them either dead or alive" Hana spoke with a smug face. The hell was she talking about? Big day? What were they going to do?

They got up to leave since they had finished the food. I wanted to know more so I decided to follow them. I stuffed my mouth with the waffles and chucked down the hot coffee which made my throat burn. I rushed out of the shop but I couldn't find any of them on the street. I started searching for them but found nothing. They just disappeared into thin air. One thing was sure, Yuri wasn't really Hana's best friend. I decided to walk back home to inform Ara. As I reached home Ara was in her room doing I don't know what. I mustered all my courage as I stood by her door. I tired knocking but I couldn't, my body just wouldn't move. I walked back to my room as I laid down on my bed thinking about what happened and unknowingly fell asleep.

End of flashback

Ara stood there glaring at me. "And you didn't have the decency to inform me? It was the most important thing. If you would've told me we could've saved Jennie" Ara snapped at me. "I'm sorry I didn't know they'd kidnap Jennie, and I know I should've told you but I couldn't" I replied looking at the ground. "The hell you mean you couldn't?" Ara yelled. "Both of you need to calm down" Namjoon said with all the other BTS members glaring at us. "Why didn't you guys tell us about all of this huh? But whatever now we've got two people to save so get your lazy asses up and start thinking" Jin sassed. "No we can't put you in danger" Ara stood up nodding a no. "Well honey we already are in danger and besides we have a personal issue with Cho and we are going to help, like it or not" this time it was Jimin who sassed. "Hey hyung, don't you honey her" Jungkook said getting red "but anyways we are helping" Jungkook added looking at us. "Fine" I sighed looking at Ara who was deeply lost in her own thoughts.

Author's P.O.V

Little did they know that something big was on its way. All of them rushed to Ara's and Chen's shared house to view all the proofs they had collected against Mr. Cho. "There's nothing else we can do, we have to go there and save Jennie and my dad. I don't want to put you guys in danger, please" Ara pleaded them to stay out of it but it was of no use. None of them were letting Ara and Chen do this on their own. They were going to help them no matter what. "We don't want to put you in danger either, we can protect you" Jungkook said holding Ara's hands. "But what if something happens to you?" Ara asked looking deep in Jungkook's eyes. "We all are going to make it home safely" Jungkook replied kissing Ara's forehead. "Ewwwww you two get a room, here we have an important matter and you guys ewwww" Jimin teased the couple until he got a glare from Jungkook. "And don't worry we have got weapons too, you know like guns and all and we could even teach you to shoot" Taehyung spoke with his usual box smile unaware of the fact that those two were great shooters.

Ara felt lucky to have found such great friends who'd never turn their backs on her even when she was in trouble. It made her emotional, it made her remember someone she missed the most, someone she didn't meet for a long time, her father. She missed her father every day, not a day went with her not thinking about her farther. Tears trickled her eyes as she thought about her father. She felt Jungkook's arm snake around her waist as he pulled Ara into his warm embrace. He rubbed her back trying to comfort her. "Group hug" Jimin shouted, as all of the guys except Chen hugged Ara. "Could I perhaps join in?" Chen asked as he nervously played with his fingers since he never group hugged before and it made him feel awkward. "Hey, why do you need to ask? We are a team" Taehyung giggled as he pulled Chen into the warm and comforting hug. 

There comes a time when you realise who matter, who never did, who cared and who didn't, who won't anymore and who always will. It's then when you realise who your true friends are when you are in trouble because it's the worst stroms of your life where only true friends stay while the rest leave.
