"Are you in love with Fred?" George asked Honey, as soon as she sat down next to him in muggle studies. It was about a month into school, almost time enough for the triwizard tournament to start. She was a little surprised by the forwardness of his question and gave him a questioning look. "I need to know, Honey."
She knew the answer, even though she had never thought about it like that, she knew. Just the thought of it seemed right to her and made her heart pick up a little bit. She loved him, of course she did, she always had. She didn't understand why it was worrying George so much though.
"I do" She answered with a nod, turning her eyes to the front of the classroom.
"No, I mean do you love him, love him," George pressed, putting his hands on the table. "Not like you love me or Charlie or Mable or Cedric."
"Yeah, I love him" She answered, pulling out her notebook. She sounded too casual to be taking his question seriously.
"Honey, I don't think you understand what I'm asking," He told her seriously.
"George, I understand what you are asking me. You asked me if I love him and I do. I am head over heels in love with him, okay? I am in love with him. I love-" She said, but she stopped because her heart was beating fast and she felt like she was going to cry.
"and you know that he loves you?" George asked as she looked away from him. She turned back after wiping a frustrated tear away.
"I mean, I guess I do. Why are you asking me this?" She asked him aggravated,
"I'm just looking after you," He said, going back to face the front. The answer she gave him was enough to calm his nerves. "If you love him, why don't you say something?"
"I don't know, Why don't you mind your own business?" She asked him sharply.
"Whoa, I didn't mean to upset you," He said defensively.
"Well you did," She said, grabbing her bag and getting up.
She didn't know why it upset her so much, but it did. She was aggravated by the whole situation and how he knew she would have to answer him, and how he suddenly thought that she and Fred's relationship was his business. George understood what he had done as soon as she stormed off to sit in the back of the room, and knew that not only had he overstepped his boundaries, he broke her trust too. He wanted answers, and he forced her to give them too him even though she didn't want too.
At the end of class, he wanted to apologize to her, but she was out of the door within seconds. That was their last class of the day, so she was able to disappear into her common room where he couldn't get to her. For the first time, he was dreading seeing Fred, knowing that he would be mad when he found out too, and he didn't want that again. He messed up and he knew it, so instead, he sat outside the Hufflepuff common room, waiting for her to come out.
"What are you doing?" Mable asked him, when she got there and he was sitting on the ground.
"Can you go get Honey for me?" He asked,
"Why?"
"I upset her, and I want to apologize" He answered instantly.
"I'll tell her"
With that, she went into the common room, wondering what it was that he had done to have him camping outside the common room. Honey was in the common room sitting next to Cedric, the two of them talking about the Triwizard tournament.
"What did Weasley do?" Mable asked her, sitting across from them. "You know he's camped outside, right?"
"Yeah, everyone who's come in has said he's asked for me"
"He said he upset you"
"He did, I was just waiting for you to get here to tell the story. He asked me if I loved Fred" She told them, "and that would have been okay if the way he asked me was different."
"You had to answer him" Cedric realized.
"Yeah, and he just kept asking me, because he thought I didn't understand what he was asking. I kept telling him that I did, and it was just, embarrassing" She told them, "I know he didn't mean it like that, but he was just so pressing and I had to answer and it was frustrating because I thought he understood that. He said he was just looking out for me, but then proceeded to ask me why I didn't do anything about it. I told him it wasn't his business and it's not. I just need some time to be mad about it before I forgive him because it hurts not to feel like I could trust him."
"I'll go tell him" Cedric offered, making Honey laugh.
"Are you just going to tell him?"
"I'll rough him up a bit," He said, standing up from his seat.
"Not too much, I like his face," Mable said, making them all laugh again as he walked to the door.
When Cedric got out there, George got up from the ground instantly. Cedric didn't show it in there, but he was mad. He saw Honey's face when she first got into the common room, and how hurt she really was by his actions. Cedric grabbed him by the arm and dragged him down the hallway. The Gryffindor commons weren't far, and Cedric took him half the way there before he pushed him forward. He didn't know that Honey and Mable had left the common rooms to check on why he was taking so long to get back.
"You are going to go to your common room, and wait for Honey to come to you? Understood?" He told him, as he stumbled to catch himself.
"I need to apologize to her"
"You hurt her feelings, bad. She feels like she can't trust you because of the stunt you pulled. She needs time to be mad about it before she can forgive you"
"What do you know anyway?" George asked, feeling defensive. He still hadn't forgiven him for the way he treated Honey in the beginning. "It took her over a year to forgive you for what you did, and I won't just wait around for her to-"
All at once, Honey and Mable turned one corner, and Cedric had thrown his fist into George's face. By the time Honey was able to split them up, they both had gotten their fair share of hits in. Honey was mad too, her hand on both their chests, stopping them from going after the other like they were trying too.
"What the hell," She asked curiously.
"Get out of the way, Honey," George said, still trying to get around his hand.
"Uh, no," She said as if he was stupid.
"Honey," Cedric said in a warning voice.
"What is going on here?" Fred asked surprised, coming around the corner after hearing the noise. He was surprised to see Honey between two bruised, furious-looking boys.
"Take your brother" Honey said simply pushed George towards him, making his eyes widen in surprise, and she stormed off. She was pissed, and Mable grabbed a hold to Cedric before, he could do anything else.
A/N: Haha enjoy all the drama I've been giving.
