Honey and Luna were late getting into the platform, simply because Tiberius refused to get into his new cage. When it was nearing time to leave, Honey had given up and put him into the pocket of her sweatshirt. He poked his calico head out of the end happily, as they appreated to the station. They had just enough time to hop on the train before it took off. Luna went to find Ginny while Honey went to find either the twins or Mable, whoever came first. She was walking down the corridor silently, when suddenly two arms reached out from one of the compartments, wrapping themselves around her waist and pulling her in. She knew who it was without having to check, so she allowed herself to be pulled in.
"Hello to you too!" Honey said to Fred, as he released her from his arms when Tiberius pawed at him.
"Didn't want you to pass us up" he said with a small smile.
George watched with a smirk next to Lee, having overheard Fred's conversation with Charlie over the summer. He was a little upset that Fred didn't talk to him about it, but it didn't matter. Honey sat down happily with a greeting George and Lee's way, taking Tiberius out of her pocket and handing him to Fred, who took him gladly. He had become more attached to the small thing then he cared to admit.
Tiberius got bored of Fred, and decided he wanted to sit on both him and Honey. He was obviously park kneezel, as he was very smart, and knew how to get his point across. He walked from his place on Fred's lap, to Honeys, then back again, as he wanted them to close the gap between them so he could lay.
"What do you want?" Honey asked it confused, looking at Fred,
"I think he's broken." Fred whispered quietly, as the kitten continued. George and Lee we're too preoccupied to notice what was going on.
Honey watched the kitten for a moment, before picking his up around the middle and scooting herself over so that the gap between she and Fred was non-existent. She lifted up his arm and made herself comfortable against him, placing his arm around her shoulder. Before Fred could understand what she was doing, she put the kitten back down and he laid his body on Fred's legs and his head on Honeys.
"Your the bed and I'm the pillow" she said with a smile, scratching his head and ignoring the way Fred's body heat seemed to course through her whole body. Fred smiled, unable to stop himself from holding her tight. She knew just what to do to get close to him, and it drove him crazy.
"Definitely a pillow" he stated, resting his cheek against her head.
He hoped she couldn't hear how hard his heart was beating due to their close proximity, but she did. It only confused her though, and she found herself second guessing her decision. He started to stroke her bare arm softly with his fingertips, bringing goosebumps that she's sure he felt. He expected her to tense up and his touch, but was relieved when she relaxed into him instead. His could have sworn his heart skipped a beat when he felt the bumps that littered her skin. She fell asleep listening to his heart beat calming down in his chest, thinking about the way their body's betrayed the two of them.
George turned his attention to Fred to unsurprisingly see Honey tucked under his arm and sleeping against his chest. Fred looked up at him, waiting for the questions he would have to answer, as George always took advantage of the moments when Honey was near enough to him. Fred didn't care about the questions, because they meant he had Honey close. Georges face was thoughtful, deciding whether or not he was going to ask what he wanted.
"Just ask," Fred told him, as Lee watched the two of them curiously. He knew that what George was going to ask would be something different than the silly things he usually asked, but what he asked definitely wasn't what he had expected.
"Are you in love with Honey?" His voice was soft, and curious in a non-pressing way.
He wasn't asking to be mean or because he didn't know. He was asking for confirmation. He was asking Fred to admit it out loud, because it wouldn't be real if he didn't. That's how things always were with the two of them. They weren't going to Hogwarts until they got their letters and told each other they were. The joke shop couldn't begin to happen if they didn't admit they wanted it too. Nothing felt real unless it was stated.
Lee expected him to tense up- to get awkward- but instead he just sighed and looked out the window of the moving train. He knew Honey was fast asleep, so he had no fear of her hearing when he answered.
"Yeah, I am" He said, in a voice that held to many different emotions. It was soft, laced with sincerity and honestly, riddled with the fear and nerves he had been holding in.
"Why don't you do something about it?" George asked. Fred have a small mischievous smile, without looking back from the window to his brother.
"I am"
Honey woke up to the sudden sound of breaks, and if Fred had not held her in place she would have fallen on the floor due to their sudden stop. She looked to George questioningly, but he had the same look on his face. Angelina had joined them sometime while she was asleep, and she wondered if Fred had fallen asleep as well. Tiberius meowed loudly when she gave Fred some space, but she soon moved back when the lights flickered out and the air became cold, as Fred had pulled her back into him by the waist just as she went to move back.
Frost appeared on the window, slowly inching it's way up the pane while something inched its way down the hall. They recognized the moving thing as a dementor as it poked it's decaying body through the door. Honey heard faintly in her ears her mother's voice, as she explained the spell she was tweaking and what she planned to achieve. She full body flinched upon hearing Pandora mutter the spell, quiet but loud enough for her to hear. As soon as hey came, the dementors left, taking her mother's voice with it.
