Honey eventually got up out of bed, but she went to her room instead of with everyone else like Fred did. She had told him that she hadn't been in there yet, because she wasn't ready to go that night. She remembered a lot more than she did even before she woke up, so she felt comfortable enough then.

The first thing she did after closing the door was look at the bookshelf. She had kept a journal ever since she could remember, and hoped that her future self had kept on doing it because as far as remembered she had. She found a few on the bookshelf, dating back almost a year, so she checked the closet for the rest, finding them covered in dust on the top shelf. Just to be safe, she started at Christmas of 1993, even though her memories had faded after that.

As she read, she began remembering the events in more detail than she wrote them in, almost like a flashback. It was a strange experience. The farther in she read the more she thought How could I forget this?  How could she have forgotten all these beautiful moments with her friends and family and most of all, how could she forget she was dying. She felt almost silly, though she knew that the memory loss was not her fault. Once she got to the last summer, she no longer felt like she needed to read anymore, because there was only one thing she was confused about it felt it better to just ask, because she knew that she never wrote about it. Someone yelled from down the stairs that it was time for dinner, and she realized that she had been going through those books all day.

After packing the books back up, she headed down the stairs, trying to remember the one day that kept slipping out of her reach. She sat at the table happily, feeling better now that she finally remembered everything.

"What've you been doing all day?" Sirius asked her curiously.

"Reading my journals," She told him with a shrug,

"I totally forgot about those," Fred said, smacking his forehead dramatically, making her laugh.

"I remembered, and now I pretty much remember everything," She said, "But there's one thing that I'm having trouble with."

"What is it?" George asked curiously, as she was looking at him when she said it.

"The day we went get ice cream," She said, watching the way his face instantly changed just a little. "What did we talk about?"

"It doesn't matter, not really," He said awkwardly.

"It matters to me. I only remember bits and pieces of it, and it's bothering me," She told him, "You said when I die, it won't just be me you're losing. What does that mean?"

Everyone got a little quieter at that, a little more still and a lot more sad. No one ever thought of it that way, not even Fred. Molly and Arthur had to leave the room so that none of their children saw them cry. The whole situation was a mess. It wasn't until Fred left the room, with George right behind him trying to say something to him that she understood what he meant by that, and it hurt her.

"Oh," Was all she said, with a frown on her face.

Fred was angry, and George knew that, so when he slammed the bedroom door shut behind him, he didn't try to get in. The two of them coped differently because where George was trying to accept what was inevitably going to happen, Fred was trying to ignore it completely, meaning that he never even began to imagine a world with Honey- until that moment.

"Can I go to Mable's?" Honey said, right after they heard the door slam from downstairs.

"Now?" Remus asked her.

When she went to answer, she was interrupted by a loud noise coming from upstairs where the two boys were, and they all knew that Fred was angry. Sirius and Remus just nodded at her, and she didn't need to be told twice, grabbing her wand off the table and apparating away.

Mable's parents didn't mind her sudden arrival and knew that something was up, so they let her go straight to Mable's room where she threw herself onto the bed.

"Hello," Mable said, looking to the side from her place on the king-sized bed. Honey didn't respond for a long time, because she was trying to gather her thoughts.

"I don't want to die," Honey said finally, with a deep frown on her face. "I have been trying so so hard to be okay about it, and for a while I was, but now I'm not. I'm angry about it, because there just isn't enough time."

"I don't want you to die either," Mable said, turning to face her as she did the same. "Do you want to smash stuff about it?"

"That's what Fred's doing right now," She told her, "I had to go because...  I can't stand hurting them like that. Hurting him. I  hate it so much but there isn't anything I can do about it. I want to leave them so that I can't hurt them anymore, but I don't really have anywhere to go."

"That would only hurt them more. The best you can do is stay with them until..." Mable said, "But you could run away to Hawaii with us in the morning if you want."

"Really?" She asked curiously. Mable suddenly sat up in bed and yelled

"Can Honey come with us tomorrow?"

Not even a few seconds later both of her parents yelled back that it was fine, so the two girls hopped out of bed and did a small dance of excitement. Then they realized that she had to pack, so Mable wrote her a list of things she needed and she appeared back to Grimmauld place. Things seemed to have calmed down because she didn't hear anything as she made her way up the stairs. It didn't take her very long to pack since Mable's list was very specific, and when she went to the kitchen to find Sirius, she found that everyone was there, with watery eyes and frowns, seemingly in the middle of a serious conversation. Her eyes locked with Fred's, but he looked away instantly, trying to his tear-stained face.

"Where are you going?" Sirius asked, noticing the suitcase she had rolled in behind her.

"Hawaii with Mable. I'll be back in a week or two," She said tearing her eyes away from him. "I was just coming let you know."

"Thank you," He said, knowing that he couldn't stop her from leaving.

Part of her wanted to stay and say something to them, but she didn't know what. She didn't know if there was anything she could say, so she took a few medicine bottles from the cabinet and left, glad that she had her memories back so she knew what to get, and somewhere to go.

"You're just going to let her run away from her problems?" Remus asked him surprised,

"Yeah," Was all her said back, staring  at the door that she had left open. Maybe she would feel better when she got back.
