Hailee Seinfeld AS MABLE BOURQUE
When the train came to a stop, Honey tried to sneak off but was caught by the arm by George. They expected her to do this, because she felt like she needed to give them space and save them from being seen with her.
They made their friendship more known last year, and the twins were given plenty of slack for it. She and George started at each other for a moment, as Lee approached with Angelina. Angelina glared, but Honey continued her staring contest with George.
"Honey! How have you been?" Lee asked excitedly, noticing her there. She broke contact with George in surprise, not expecting him to greet her so happily, ot at all. She and Lee were what she concidered secondhand friends- not really friends, but like it because they were both close with the twins.
"I didn't get to talk to you much while I was with them."
"Yeah, I'm good." She said, getting over the shock quickly. "How are you?"
George let go of her arm with a satisfied smile in Freds direction. She wouldn't try to leave if she was in a conversation with Lee, who was actually excited to see her. She presented herself differently outside of school, and Lee wanted to be her friend so she could be herself around him as well. He was attracted to her in a friendly way- in the way she was always so happy and contagiously cheerfully.
Angelina wasn't happy about the fact she was still there, and that she had Lee's attention, but sat with them in a carriage anyway, concidering apologising to her to make the twins talk to her again, but she didn't.
When they got to the castle, Honey made her way to the Hufflepuff table glumly. She couldn't avoid Cedric forever, and she knew it. She sat down as much out of his sight as she could, and focused herself on watching the boys walk to the Gryfandor table. She didn't stay out of Cedric's sight for long, and soon saw him making his way over.
To her surprise, someone sat next to her before he even got close. Mable Bourque was not the person she expected to see. She was popular, mostly because she was beautiful and friendly, but didn't have any special friend group. She flit between cliques and no one complained, so when she sat next to Honey no one gave her a second glance. The two girls were shockingly different in appearance.
Honey had waist length blonde hair, forest green eyes, and porcelain skin: Mable had chocolate brown hair stopping at her chest, grey- blue eyes, and perfectly tanned skin. She made eye contact with Cedric, and he stopped short. She raised an eyebrow at him and he turned around and walked away.
"I heard you talking to Angelina on the train, about his face." She said, reveling her American accent. She was from Louisiana. "I'm Mable, but I'm sure you know that since we share a dorm."
"Honey." She introduced. She noticed the twins watching her questioningly, wondering if Mable was bothering her, but she gave them a reassuring smile. "Thank you for that."
"Anytime. I can leave if you'd like, but I would very much like to talk to you." She said, not as confidently as she normally was. It wasn't a lie.
"Stay." Honey replied with a smile, making her relax. Mable was always self assured, but she really wanted to be friends with Honey.
Mable did stay, and the two girls fell into an easy conversation. Even when Honey sat with Cedric, she hardly ever spoke, so it was refreshing to not be quiet. She felt more comfortable with Mable then she ever did with Cedric, and Mable felt more comfortable than with anyone. Something about the other just put them at ease, and by the end of dinner they were both wondering why they didn't speak sooner. Maybe it was because they both noticed how similar the two of them were.
Honey was extatic that Luna was sorted into Ravenclaw, and cheered loudly. Everyone was caught off gaurd by the fact that all the Weasleys cheered for her just as loudly at the Gryfindor table, alongside newly sorted Ginny. She turned red as she made her way to the table, giving Honey a smile and rolled her eyes at the Weasleys. Mable cheered too, knowing that she was Honey sister.
The two girls left the great hall together, and Mable pointed her attention to Fred Weasley who was trying to make his way through the crowd to get to her. She smiled fondly at him, and he stopped when they made eye contact.
He gave her a sheepish grin, realizing that he wouldn't be able to make it to her without being knocked to the ground. He was a tall, buff guy, but people wouldn't think twice before pushing him. She made a butterfly with they hands- her way of letting him know they would talk later. He made one back, and she blew him a kiss before following Mable towards the Hufflepuff dorms.
Fred stood there, his brain becoming hazy as he replayed her goodbye. George, having seen it himself, grabbed him by the arm and dragged him along. Honey didn't realize the effect she had on Fred.
"You really need to pull yourself together." George told him brother as they got into their common room. Ron and Harry had shown up in the flying car, so the two of them were waiting for them to get back into the commons to see what their punishment would be.
"Sorry?"
"Honey is going to notice something is up if you keep staring at her like you just were."
"Nothing is up." Fred said definitely. That made George roll his eyes in annoyance.
"Fred, stop acting like I don't know you've had a thing for her since forever. You can deny it to Bill and Charlie but not too me." George said firmly.
He knew about Fred's crush on Honey because he knows Fred, not because he told him. He had always been fond of her, but to his knowledge didn't start liking her that way until first year.
"Was I being obvious?" He asked pathetically.
"Yes."
Fred went to say something else but was interrupted by the common room door opening, reveling Ron and Harry. They looked glum, and told the twins what their punishment. They were relived that they weren't expelled to say the least.
