The entire room seemed to panic, and within seconds most of those who didn't plan to fight were gone- they disappeared as soon as the message was finished being told. The Patronus must have gone to the rest of the order because they were soon filing in as the protective barrier around the house had crashed down only moments after they were informed of the impending attack. In a panic as well, Fred had appriated Honey to his room that was only inside, given her a quick I love you and a kiss, and appriated back out. They had spoken about it before, and she had agreed that she was better off out of the way of the fighting. There was no way for her to help except for her family to know that she was somewhere safe.
The only preparation any of them had time for was a few of the men to slip off their ties before the room was bombarded with the black smoke that came from the death eaters arriving. The fight wasn't really much of a fight, it lasted only minutes before the family and order members realized that they were outnumbered and that they didn't come looking for a fight. They were looking for Harry, who was nowhere to be found as he had disappeared and attended the wedding under a disguise.
They were brought inside, where Honey was sitting on the couch being watched by a death eater that they recognized as Emma, though none could show they knew who she was. To further that notion, Fred swept Honey as far away from her as he could, checking if she was okay and sending a glare.
"The house has been searched, Potter isn't here," she said.
"And Ronald Weasley?" One asked harshly, eyeing the people in the room.
"Spattergroit it looks like," She said, "I got as close as I could, it's him."
"Honey and Fred, congratulations on the marriage," The death eater said, the male voice was unfamiliar. "The dark lord would like to congratulate Honey personally, as well as speak to her for a short amount of time."
"Absolutely not," Fred said simply, not letting go of her.
"It is in everyone's best interest that she goes, as it was not a request," He answered, "He has no intention of harming her, and she will be returned by the end of the night provided things go as planned."
Honey eyed him back, going over his wording in her head. He hadn't been lying, and unless they had found a way around their words that she hadn't noticed, she wasn't being tricked. Fred looked at her curiously and his face fell when he saw hers. He knew she was going to try and go.
"No, I don't care that you don't think he's lying. I don't trust them, I will not lose you any sooner than I have too," He said firmly, taking her face in his hands with a frown. "I won't."
"It wasn't a request, Fred. I won't let you get hurt to buy a couple of minutes of time only to have them take me anyway," She told him, raising her hand to meet his. "I won't lose you any sooner than I have too either. I love you."
When the death eater grabbed her shoulder, Fred still tried to fight it, but he didn't trust his aim enough not to hit her with any spell he tried to cast. In the blink of an eye she was gone, and all there was left to do was pray that she would really be brought back as they said she would be.
When her feet hit the ground, she felt them give out from underneath her. She was too weak to appreate, that's why she had been using floo instead, but they didn't give her much of a choice. Her lungs couldn't take the pressure, and she began having a coughing fit on the ground, spitting up blood onto the white casual dress she had changed into to dance in. Someone made her stand on her feet, but she was still trying to empty her lungs and just let them.
"You're dying," A voice said simply, making her look up as she gasped for air. She only nodded, wiping her mouth with the napkin that had been put in her hand. She had been raised to stand by Emma, and the person who spoke was unmistakably the dark lord. He continued with a grimace, "and you are doing it quickly. Only two months left to spend with your new husband."
"You have my file then," She said, her voice coming out weak. She was glad that they appriated, because it made it more convincing that she was going to die in a month and not about a year as the real prediction was.
"I will give you three options," He said to her. Everything about him was short and to the point, like he had better things to do than speak to her. "You can tell me the spell that made you unable to lie and leave willingly, or you can be tortured for the information until you eventually are killed after we get the information, and we will. I understand where your allegiances lie, so keeping you would do no good as you would fight against us until you die, taking the spell with you."
"If I tell you, I get to leave?" She asked confused. "Just like that?"
"Yes, the spell is all we need to make more who can do what you can, and if they are loyal to me it is only that much easier," He said, watching as she took a seat at the table. She was shaking like a leaf and covered in her own blood from her lungs as well as her nose that had begun to bleed as well. Her skin was nearly translucent and she looked like death, he liked that.
He wasn't lying, and she weighed her options. She could tell him and go home, but he would have the means to make lie detectors. She could not tell him and never get to see Fred again, even when she promised him he wouldn't lose her sooner than he was meant too.
"I do not have all day," He said impatiently, after nearly five minutes of silence. "Have you made your decision?"
"Yes, I have."
