Honey went home the next day with no more incidents between her and Fred, though neither would have minded. She walked home alone, having asked the two boys to stay behind so she could think. She wanted to think about what she planned on doing about her feelings for Fred. Since they never talked about what happened between them, she wasn't sure if he wanted that kind of relationship.

She and her father spent the day painting, like they always did when she got home for break. It was the first time Luna had stayed home, which is why she didn't want to spend too long at the Weasley's. She knew her dad got lonely, and the two of them would be joining the Weasleys again for Christmas morning. Normally Honey and Luna went around for lunch while Xenophilous  stayed home, but this year Honey and Molly insisted that he goes.

The Lovegoods all knew how strange they were, which is why Xenophilous never went with the girls to their friends. He didn't want to embarrass them because he was grateful they were able to become friends with such wonderful people. Ever since Pandora died, when the kids were at school he spent his days working or doing drugs, though his daughters didn't know the last part. Honey knew about the pot, but she didn't know about the other things. Pot was a normal, okay thing in their house, but chances were that she would be very disappointed in him if she found out.

Honey had an inking about her fathers addiction, from the way he acted, but she couldn't ask him. He hadn't given her enough evidence to properly accuse him, and she wanted above all to believe he wouldn't do something like that. Pandoras death hit him hard, harder than they would ever know.

Honey woke up Christmas morning, excited to see the boys after nearly a week. She got dressed in cute, but warm cloths and curled her hair, and went down stair to check if her dad was ready. She found him passed out on the couch with a pill bottle near his head.

After ten minutes of trying to wake him up, she gave up. She grabbed the bottle to see if she could figure out what it was, but she couldn't.  She didn't know if he had overdosed or what he had taken, so her only option was to get Molly.

She was about to leave to get her when he shot up from the couch, his long blond hair bouncing along with him. He looked fine, and saw Honey standing there instantly.

"Honey I-" he tried, but she interrupted him.

"No, I don't want to talk about it now" she said to him, holding up a hand. "But you better have a hell of an explanation when I get back. I'm going to the Weasely's for Christmas like we planned, and you are going to stay here and get yourself together."

Before she could answer, she headed out the door, tossing the bottle to the side. She used a tiny mirror to make sure her face looked okay as she walked to the Weasleys. She was going to be late, but they always ate breakfast before anything else anyway. She was angry about what her father was doing, and she didn't know what to do about it.

She let herself into the burrow, instantly feeling better. She could just ask Molly, and she would help. She stood by the table with a small smile, startling the twins so much that they jumped up. She couldn't bring herself to laugh like everyone else did.

"Where's your father, dear?" Molly asked her, putting a few things onto the table.

"Home. Can I talk to you... alone please?" She asked her curiously. Instantly Molly nodded and followed her into the next room much to the twins confusion.

"I um... This morning my dad he..." She said, trying to figure out how to explain what happened. "My dad is on drugs and I don't know what to do."

"Oh dear," Molly said in surprise, putting a comforting hand on Honeys shoulder, "Don't you worry about that. I'll keep an eye on him if you'd like while you're away. My brother had the same problem, and I will make sure your father is okay just as I did him."

"Thank you" Honey said, hugging Molly tightly. She hugged her back instantly, wishing that she never had to deal with that problem.

"Now, you just enjoy Christmas, and leave the worrying to me" She said, pushing Honey gently back into the kitchen, making her smile.

The twins were curious about what they talked about, but Honey looked happier than when she first came in, so they didn't ask. She would tell them when she was ready, and they knew that. It didn't stop them from being concerned though, because they could tell by her face that she had been crying.

They had Christmas as usual, and when they were finished opening present, Honey and the twins went up to their room. They wanted her to tell them what happened, she knew it, but couldn't bring herself to do it. She didn't want them to worry any more than they had too, so she put on a fake smile and pretended like nothing happened. They didn't believe it, but she didn't want to talk so they didn't comment.

Instead of going home like she planned, she stayed over because Lee was coming over. She didn't want to go home and deal with everything, she wanted to stay and have the boys cheer her up enough to be able to go home and be in a good mood. Christmas wasn't ruined, because the Weasleys always knew how to cheer her up.

Lee arrived later in the day, pleasently surprised at Honeys presence. He had been there plenty times before, but normally Honey left. That time she stayed until the sun started to set, when she headed home reluctantly. The boys offered to walk her home, since it was getting dark fast, and the snow was falling too heavily for them to let her go alone comfortably. Lee was curious about her house.

The light in the living room of her oddly shaped house was on, making her hesitate at the end of the tree line. She realized she really didn't want to go home, and speak to her father. Instead of going to the front door, Honey led the boys around the back of the house.

"Give me a boost?" She asked, pointing to her open window. The two boys stepped forwards without question, helping her in through the window.

"We are gonna talk about this" Fred said with a pointed look as she climbed in.

"Yeah, I know" She told him, "goodnight guys, merry Christmas"
