The Weasley family and their friends found themselves gathered in the field behind the burrow for the second time that year. The first being that August, joining Fred and Honey in marriage, and the second that May, joining them in death. It had been two weeks and the family was still in shock, not saying much to each other those days. There was nothing that could be said that could make things better.

Like ghosts, they wandered around the event, eyes focused on the sunflowers spread around them instead of the bodies on display for everyone to say their goodbyes. They had tried not to put much thought in the way that Honey's funeral would be but they had never imagined that it would be Freds too. The only people who seemed to be aware of their surroundings were George and Luna. Honey had already planned her funeral months prior and George had been the one to call her planner, asking to double a few things to accommodate the fact that Fred would be going with her, and Luna had been the one to help with most of the decorations. They had both promised Honey that they would run the show, so that was what they did.

After what felt like hours, George took the stand as the funeral came to a close. Despite the fact that he couldn't face the photos of the couple placed all around the tented area that they had set up, he had some things he wanted to say. Everyone had sat down in chairs placed in front of him and the caskets, ready to listen.

"It's nice to see you all again," He addressed, "We were all here after all, though for very different reasons."

They all watched him with teary eyes, wondering how he kept such a calm composure. He had lost the most, after all. Yet, he stood tall, greif covering every inch of his features and a small smile on his lips that didn't quite reach his eyes.

"If you remember, I was giving a speech at their wedding when I was rudely interrupted by death eaters, and I never got to finish," He had expected at least one laugh at the way that he delivered that small joke but got none, so he cleared his throat and continued. "The moral of the story was time. They took their time falling in love, thinking that they had plenty of it. Now they have all the time they could possibly want."

That caused his mother to start to cry but he ignored it. He had thought a lot about what he was going to say and decided that it would make him feel a lot better to defend Fred's actions to them- to make them understand as he did.

"Fred could never imagine a world without her, and I could never imagine Fred without her either. They were so in love that the idea of them not being together and having to watch Fred go through losing her tore me apart inside because I knew that there would be nothing I could do to help him. I find comfort knowing that they are together and neither of them had to go through that. I go to sleep at night knowing that Fred is happy and that they are together out there somewhere. It hurts more than I could ever imagine and yet I know that things are better this way," He said, grinning at the two yellow butterflies that had somehow made their way into the tent, fluttering around the flowers innocently. "I will never forget them, and always be grateful for the time that I did have with them."

George stepped back from the podium he was standing at and wandered back to his seat as Luna took his place. His eyes landed on the honey bee that he had tattooed on his knee the day before the battle, he was going to tell Honey about it when he got back- it was supposed to be his good luck charm and a gentle reminder of her every time he saw it. She would have gotten mad at him had he gotten her name or something like that, and he knew she would have loved it served as a joke as well, "The bee's knees!" He would have said to her, and he could imagine her laughing and telling how he was silly and she loved it. Looking at it made him smile then, and he felt as though soon, everything would be okay. He had a reminder of her that he could see when he missed her, and one for Fred every time he looked in the mirror.

They would always be with him.
