Sirius loved it when Honey sent him photographs from school. It made him feel involved in her life, but her latest photo made him freeze in his place. He was sitting at the table with Remus, after cleaning a few rooms at Grimuled place and deciding to take a break.
"What's wrong?" Remus asked him curiously, looking up from his tea to see him staring at a photograph with wide eyes. "Is that from Honey?"
"Yeah, it is."
"Is she with that Weasley yet?" He asked curiously.
"Yes, he asked her at the ball, but that's not the problem."
"Where's your girlfriend, Weasley?" Mable asked, as soon as she approched the two boys and their other friends.
"I was hoping you would know," Fred answered, not being able to help a smile at the phrase, despite his concern. "She said she would meet us here with you."
"I haven't seen her since this morning," Mable said, trying not to worry. They were standing on the bleachers that had been set up in the middle of the great lake.
"Maybe she's with Ron and Hermione, I heard that Harry was looking for them," Lee pointed out, "I'm sure she's fine."
It turned out that Honey was with Ron and Hermione, at the bottom of the black lake to be retrieved by their respective champion. Honey's champion was Cedric, who as soon as he figured out that it was her down there, ran over to tell the Weasley boys, as he could see how much they were concerned about her. He dove into the lake faster than any of the other champions, casting a bubble head charm to be able to breath under water.
Harry, who was going to retrieve Ron, used Gilly weed, and Victor Krum transfigured his head into a shark to get Hermione. Fred and George had never felt so on edge before. Not only was Harry in danger, but also Ron and Honey. They hadn't anticipated that they would be dragged into the tournament, and when Cedric was spotted coming out of the water about an hour later, the two boys were the first ones on the waters edge.
Honey was nearly gasping for air, clinging tightly to Cedric's side until Fred took her into his arms to help her out of the water. Madam Pomfrey was at her side in an instant, wrapping her up in a blanket and trying to figure out why she was having so much trouble catching her breath. Honey tried to say she was fine, and wave her off, but that didn't work until Victor surfaced with Hermione and she had to go attend to them.
Honey didn't plan on ever leaving Fred's arms, as she was freezing cold from being in the lake and he didn't plan on letting go either, at least until she was warm. It wasn't until she started sneezing that Madam Porphrey decided that something wasn't right. She wasn't reacting the way she should to the potions she had been given to help warm her up and make her feel better. Her chest hurt from when she was trying to catch her breath and she was much too pale.
After the tournament was over, she insisted that Honey be taken to the hospital wing, and she was much to weak to even complain. Cedric felt bad to say the least, but none of them blamed him. There was no way they could have know that she would react that way.
By morning, Honey was feeling completely fine again, and was allowed to leave the hospital wing, though Madam Pomfrey was becoming more and more concerned with Honey's health. She was there much more often that year than ever, and something about her symptoms just didn't feel right. She voiced her concerns to Honey, who promised that if she was in there again, then the matron could preform whatever tested she wished on her to calm her nerves.
With the third task coming up, they were all pleasantly surprised to find that Molly and Charlie had come to watch, and support Harry. They didn't know that they were coming, until Honey and the twins walked into the great hall, and Charlie was suddenly yelling and spinning Honey around excitedly. When he let go of her, he did the same to Fred, making her take his place in laughing.
"I'm so happy you guys are finally together!" He said loudly, making nearly everyone laugh as they sat down at the Gryfandor table with Molly.
"Mom did threaten to disown me if I didn't" Fred pointed out, making Molly smack him playfully on the arm, though his smile was as bright as could be.
"It's about time you asked her!" She defended, making Honey laugh.
"I agree!" She told her.
Just Honey's luck, she caught a nose bleed right in front of Mcgonagall who felt the need to personally escort her to the hospital wing. It was an hour before the third task was to start, and she assured her friends that she didn't mind them going without her, and wished Cedric luck in case she didn't have time to see him off. She knew that she wouldn't have time, because she knew that Madam Pomfrey would stay true to her word about the tests. She made herself comfortable on the bed, much to Mcgonagall's surprise. Madam Pomfrey took one look at her and her bloody nose and turned around to get all the things that she wanted, telling Minerva that she could go now.
Madam Pomfrey was not happy with the results she had gotten or more, lack of. She knew something was wrong with Honey, but she just didn't know what, and was out of time. She had to get down to the tournament and was already running late for the event, but didn't want to give up on Honey quite yet. She did the only thing she could think of, and used her direct line to St. Mungo's to call in a healer to do professional tests on Honey while she went to the task.
She explained the situation to Molly, after pulling her to the side. Molly was relieved to say the least, and voiced her concerns about the girl as well. She thanked her for looking out for the Honey before she went to her station, and she turned around to explain the situation to her children. Fred and George wanted to leave instantly along with Mable to go and be there with her, but Molly stopped them. They needed to focus on their work, and they needed to relax, while they could.
