Blinded by the destruction in her mind,
Blocked from reality
Blown from the world as she knew it,
Brainwashed from normality
Shadowed by the pain clawing at her heart,
Sheltered by the sorrows she'd shed
Shattered by the memories flooding back in,
Shivering from the monsters in her head
Hidden from the hues of happiness around her,
Lurking in corners were tints of glee
Obscured from view by the dark desires,
Was all the light she could not see.

She was so blinded by the darkness in her mind that she could not see the beauty lurking in the world around her. Now, as she opens her eyes, she realizes all that she'd missed, all those months she was trapped inside the walls of her internal turmoil.
