Hypocrite

She told them to be nice,
But she'd been the one to start
She told them to stop the war,
But she threw the first dart.

She told them to be happy,
But she cried herself to sleep
She preached positivity,
While she herself weeped.

She insulted those with makeup,
While she wore it too
Burdened by insecurities,
She suffered through and through.

She called out society's flaws,
While she brought them to life
She ignited change,
While trying to end the strife.

She told them to be strong,
While she hid behind her mask
She believed that being real,
Was quite the daunting task.

She told them to be themselves,
While she changed for different eyes
As much as it hurts to admit it,
That she was I.

Sometimes you end up doing what you judge everyone else for doing, and you really hate yourself for it.
