Why is it so hard, please tell me why,
Why can't we think, why can't we try?
Before words are uttered and can't be taken back,
Why can't we consider the empathy that we lack?
Why is it so hard, to think of what we say,
Why can't we compliment and make someone's day?
Instead all we do is shoot bullets and throw knives,
Why can't we do something to better people's lives?
Why is it so hard, why do we tell lies,
Why is it so hard for us to be nice?
