Chapter 10 - The Meeting

"Is everybody here?"

Knock! Knock! Knock!

"Come in!"

"Sorry we're late medyo malayo-layo din pala ang carpark sa building na ito, yung elevator pa punuan." sabi ni Angela

"Well it looks like everyone is present you can take your seat Angela and Friend so that we can start."

Nagsimula na ang meeting, the first to present was the Mountaineering Club since sila ang may pinaka-kaunting miyembro and then others follow. Kanina pa ako nakatingin sa kanya sa totoo lang nung una nakikinig pa ako pero ngayon yung atensyon ko parang nakuha na ng babaeng iyon. Ms. Clumsy ano ba naman itong epekto mo sa akin para kang linta na di matanggal sa isip ko.

Si Chelsea nagstart na sa kanyang presentation yung bang plano niya para sa cheer leading squad dahil malapit na ang UAAP.

"As we all know magstart na ang UAAP this coming months and we are the defending champions in the Cheer dance competition so may mga konting request lang kami sa budget for our organization, don't worry ms. treasurer ipapakita namin sa presentation the allocation for each money we will receive." sabi ni Chelsea

Kahit papaano nabalik na yung atensyon ko sa meeting nung nagstart na magsalita yung mga bigating organization dito sa university. Teka anong ginagawa niya sa mga papel! Patay baka matapon yung water bottle...

*Slosh!*

"Ay! Pa-pasensya na, di-di ko sinasadya, may nabasa ba?" tarantang tanong ni Ms.Clumsy

"Ayos lang Liz wala naman yatang nabasa sa amin , yung mga papel lang siguro, Aaron paabot nga noong basahan diyan sa may bandang likod mo." utos ni Angela

"Di ka kasi nag-iingat Inday nagulo tuloy yung speech and presentation ko." galit na sumbat ni Chelsea

"Tama na yan Aaron tulungan mo na lang silang ayusin yung mga nabasang papel, we will just provide you with new copies, Jinkee paki nga."

Natapos din yung insidente kanina at natuloy lang din yung presentation ni Chelsea nagsimula nga lang siya ulit, kaya medyo matagal tapos nun sumunod na rin yung iba pang di pa nakakapagsalita. Bakit kaya Inday ang tawag sa kanya? Habang tinatapos nung next organization yung remaining slides nila napatingin ako ulit kay Ms. Clumsy, hay disgrasya talaga siya nakakatuwa minsan kasi ang cute niya kapag natataranta. Mukhang patapos na rin kami dito ilan na lang din ang natitira after nun kami na ang magsasalita for the budget allocation based on their presentation today at other announcements and information they will be needing.

After 1 hour........

"Okay the last organization will be Red Cross Youth Council and we have in our presence the President of the organization together with Ms. Guinto as her assistant" banggit ni Aaron

"First I'll be showing you a presentation of the activities we will be doing in and out of the campus since our organization is also recognized outside the university, there are many agencies and groups that are planning on partnering with Red Cross Youth Council, as you all know Cebu was recently hit by a heavy storm which cause too much destruction to many people. The first activity would be getting donations as well as preparing relief goods to be delivered to some places in Cebu......."

Patuloy lang sa pagsasalita si Angela and I might say maganda ang presentation and advocacy ng organization nila kasi di lang dito ang natutulungan nila pati din yung mga nasa malayong lugar. Si Ms. Clumsy talaga mali-mali pero di halata, magsasalita kaya siya?

"For the last part of our presentation I will be giving the mic to Ms. Guinto since she is the one who suggested the activity and she has all the information needed." sabi ni Angela

Uy! Magsasalita na si Ms. Clumsy, nabigyan din ng pagkakataon pero di ba bago lang siya sa dito.

"Hi I'm Liezel Jenny Guinto but you can call me Liezel, this program that I will be introducing is new because the Red Cross Youth Council has been dealing with people who had experienced being hit by any natural disaster, but as additional we would like to connect or reach out to people from different orphanages or other institution that would need more help." panimula ni Ms. Clumsy

Ahm! 🤔

"May I cut you off?"

"Go Ahead Ms. President."

"Such program is already available to this university since every now and then colleges have been doing reach-out programs as they call it, not only inside metro manila but also near provinces. So now tell me what's the difference with your organization doing it?"

Tignan natin ang galing mo Ms. Clumsy but now I am serious since budget din ang pinaguusapan kung meron siyang dagdag na program or activity, ilang minuto din natahimik ang paligid at di pa rin siya nagsasalita, magasasalita na sana ako ulit pero...

"Para sabihin ko sa iyo Ms. President walang pagkakaiba ang reach-out program na ginagawa ng ibang colleges sa reach-out program na gagawin ng organization namin. Wala naman sigurong batas o rule dito sa university ang nagbabawal na gumawa ng monthly or yearly reach-out program dahil nga di naman doon sa colleges lang tumitigil ang pagtulong hanggat may kakayahan ka o ang grupo na kinabibilangan mo ay patuloy pa din dapat ang pagtulong."

"I agree with you Ms. Clumsy, huminahon ka lang di naman kita inaaway at di rin naman ako tutol, sinisigurado ko lang na alam mo at ng organization nyo ang mga dapat na gagawin hindi yung padalos-dalos."

"Ms. Clumsy? Ms. Antipatika este Ms. President I introduced myself earlier you can call me Ms. Guinto if not you can use Liezel or even Jenny." asar na sagot ni Ms. Clumsy.

"Okay sorry Liezel it was not my intention to offend you please proceed."

Nagpatuloy lang siya sa pagsasalita and after a few more minutes si Angela na ang tumapos with a closing statement.

"We all heard your pleas, suggestions and explanation on the different activities, programs that each of you will be having this year, also during your presentations we provided comments and suggestions so please review it against your platforms and by next week kindly submit the final form here at the office for finalization. For the budget we will be providing the list as well as the money as soon as we receive the forms you will be giving which is why I encourage you to submit it the earliest possible. 

Lastly regarding the recruitment week, its still the same as previous years the booths will be assembled at para doon sa pwesto ng mga different university organization magbubunutan na lang kayo para malaman kung anong booth number ang naka-assign sa inyo. You can coordinate with Jinkee and Aaron. That's all thank you for attending this meeting, after the recruitment week I'll be setting up a  another meeting to discuss other matters."

Nagsi-alisan na sila after ng bunutan, nakita ko na rin papalabas na sila Angela at Ms. Clumsy, lalapitan ko sana siya para humungi ng tawad kanina, pero humarang si Chelsea.

Hay! Ano nanaman kaya ang kailangan nito guys....
