Chapter 27 - Done Deal

Alexander POV

Ito ang kauna-unahang pagkakataon na magkakaroon ako ng sarili kong POV, hindi ko alam kung bakit pero mabuti na rin at alam ninyo readers kung sino ako at ano ang iniisip ko. I know all of you know me as the strict and controlling father of the protagonist pero I want you all to understand I am doing this to keep my family safe and secure. Kung hahayaan ko sila sa kung ano man ang gusto nila tulad ng mga bata in this generation hindi malayong mangyari na they will end up in the streets before we know it. I have one rule to them follow every order I make pero kung hindi nila magagawa iyon mas mabuti pang lumayas na sila sa pamamahay ko at kahit anong tulong ang hingin nila o kailanganin nila ay hindi nila matatanggap sa akin. I lost my wonderful and beautiful wife early which is why I decided to control their life the way how I see fit, so that they will not end up like what happened to her.

"Sir you have a lunch meeting with a potential investor by 12:30 pm, at 3:00 pm you will be at the office for the board meeting to discuss this year's first half performance and future strategies."

"Okay also make sure to add to my schedule at exactly 5pm Antonio Sy and her daughter will be coming to my office for a meeting regarding a business partnership. My daughter Alex will be joining us as well so kindly  assist them once they arrive."

"Noted Sir. Is there anything else you need sir?"

"None thank you. You may go now and please make sure no one will disturb me for the rest of the day unless it is important and about the meetings."

*Ring!* * Ring!* *Ring!*

"Hello?"

"Yes may I know who is calling?"

"Yes po this is Nick from the Jack Saloon Bar and Resto sa may taguig po. Tinawagan po namin kayo kasi kayo yung unang name sa phonebook nitong customer namin we even tried to call the last person she was talking to on the phone pero no luck po kami in reaching anyone until sumagot kayo."

"Okay but what do you need me for, I'm a busy person so on with it."

"Ah! Yes po kasi dapat po kanina pa kami close kaso hindi naman po namin pwedeng iwanan si customer at wala na rin po siyang kasama dito na tutulong. Kung pwede po sana pakipuntahan po siya at sunduin."

"Nick whoever you are just like I told you earlier I am a busy person, my time is important to just waste on a person who is not responsible enough to go home by herself."

"Pero Sir tulad nga po ng sinabi ko kanina hindi naman po pwe-pwede na iwan namin siya dito baka may mangyari din po masama sa kanya kami pa po ang malalagot."

"O siya sige para tigilan mo na ako dahil marami pa akong kailangan gawin, I'll just ask someone to pick her up, now can you stop calling and bothering me."

"Yes Sir thank you po, pasensya na rin po sa abala."

Hay! Pasaway talaga ang batang iyon, hindi na nagtino.

"Shirley! pumunta ka nga dito sa office ko."

"Yes po sir. Ano po maitutulong ko?"

"Kindly ask someone to pick up my daughter at a bar in taguig pwedeng ikaw na rin siguro ang sumundo basta I'll text you the details, also please tell her that when I get home she needs to be there kasi may pag-uusapan kami."

Umalis na si Shirley ang executive assistant ko marami nga pala ako nun pero since siya ang pinakamatagal, pinakamatanda, at maexperience when it comes to my personal matters siya ang pinapahandle ko. My day goes by fast sa totoo lang paulit-ulit lang din kaya siguro sanay na ako checking and reviewing of files in the morning, signing documents, talking to the management, meeting with different people, iyon na ang normal day ko.

4:45pm............

Kakatapos lang ng meeting ko with the board about future strategies and performances for the past few months and I would say the company is doing better and for future plans we are thinking of expanding more and engaging in another type of business. Also napagusapan din sa meeting na magengage sa buying ng mga paluging businesses para mapalago, para lumaki ang sakop ng Millenium Corporation. Alam ko mabo-bore lang kayo readers kaya yun lang muna ang sasabihin ko.

*Knock* *Knock*

"Sir excuse me po nandito na po sina Sir Anthony at Maam Chelsea Sy, papasukin ko na po ba?"

"Yes go ahead, magprepare ka na rin ng snacks and juice for them. By the way wala pa ba si Alex?"

"Sir wala pa po pero kapag dumating agad ko pong papupuntahin dito."

Pagkalipas ng ilang minuto......

"Xander thank you for having us."

"Anthony come in, come in, kaw din Chelsea have a sit aayusin ko lang itong mga documents na kailangan ninyo din i-sign, I asked my lawyers to draft this para ready na by today."

"Good, good we also brought the contracts needed as well as the documents for the outline of the business, we can talk about it after the signing kasi alam ko naman na sure ka na on this business partnership. By the way nasaan nga pala si Alex?"

"Of course napag-usapan naman na natin ito before we agreed on this, kaya there is no turning back, may isang salita yata ang pamilya ko Anthony. Sang-ayon din naman akong mapag-usapan ang lahat after the signing. In the first place done na itong deal natin for formalities na lang itong mga documents and contracts. Alex is on her way now."

"Hahaha! Ibang klase ka talaga Alexander Monteverde. Don't worry I think this partnership will be a success lalo na mga anak natin ang maghahandle. Chelsea and Alex are smart and responsible mapapalago nila ito."

"I agree kaya akin na yang contracts and other documents to sign and here is your part para maclose na natin. Chelsea you can sign as well dahil kayong dalawa ng anak ko ang magpapatakbo, I'll just ask Alex to sign later."

Natapos namin ang pagsign sa mga contracts and other documents with both copies for filing purposes na rin.

*Knock* *Knock*

"Sir nasa elevator na daw po si Alex paakyat."

"Okay good papasukin mo agad. Thank you."
