"how's this?" eddie asked as he spun around in front of richie, who grinned.

"that's perfect, eddie. you look great!" richie jumped up and walked to the smaller boy and made him turn to the mirror. he held his hands onto eddie's shoulders while looking at them in the mirror.

"batman and robin. everyone's gonna be so jealous this halloween" richie said in his batman suit. consisting a black shirt and pants,a black cape and a mask what eddie and him had put together. eddie, wearing a green/red suit with a yellow cape. a black mask was around his eyes, which were sparkling.

originally eddie wanted to be batgirl, but they ended up dressing him as robin.

suddenly eddie's grinning face faded and was replaced with worry. "i'm scared, rich..."

"why? what's wrong?"

"what if henry's there...I don't want him to see me" eddie turned around.

The october wind blew against eddie's wind, the branches scraping the glass and throwing shadows on the floor. a small light from the pumpkin outside lit the room only a bit.

"eds, you shouldn't worry about him. besides, he's not gonna recognize us. he might've hurt you when you were alone, but when we're together, you, me, stan, bill and bev, everything's gonna go fine. i promise eds"

eddie smiled a bit and then there was a knock on the door.

"boys! stanley is here!" sonia kaspbrak yelled.

richie tapped eddie on the head and flashed him a dorky smile. "you'll do fine, eds"

eddie grabbed richie's hand and led them out of his room, sonia stumbling back a bit from being leaned against the door.

"hey stan" richie waved at the vampire dressed boy standing awkwardly in the hall.

"hi richie, eddie" he nodded.

"eddie bear? is there an adult with you?" she asked concerned.

"my mom's keeping an eye on us, ms Kaspbrak" stan said.

"don't worry mommy" eddie nodded and put on his shoes, richie doing the same.

"yeah, ms K. ms U is gonna look after us, don't worry" richie added.

"well just remember to be safe and don't go into dangerous looking houses, and don't stay out until 8pm. I want you home by then, eddie" sonia pointed out.

"absolutely" eddie nodded and opened the door, stan and richie following him.

"have fun" sonia smiled, but the boys were already running to Andrea Uris' car.

"so? do we need to pick anyone else? bill?" Andrea turned around to the boys on the back.

"no, we'll meet him there" richie replied, before stanley could get a word out of his mouth.

"alrighty" ms Uris nodded and started the car.

all of the boys were sitting in the back, eddie stuffed between stan and richie, who were oh so much taller than him.
