13. January ❀ age 6
The Christmas was hell for Eddie.
He had to spend the whole break with his mother, inside their house, eating soy christmas cookies and decorating their fake Christmas tree. Yeah, they couldn't even get a real tree, since Sonia thought the sent might get to Eddie's allergies. (what allergies?)
"Mommy! Richie's gonna be back today!" Eddie squealed at the breakfast table.
"Is he now?" Sonia asked while making pancakes.
"Yeah! I've missed him a LOT!" Eddie jumped up and down on the chair.
"We have to get some medication from the drug store, Eddie bear! Maybe you two could see after that?"
"But mommy, I haven't been able to see him all Christmas!" Eddie pouted, sticking his bottom lip out.
His mother sighed and shook her head. "No, Eddie. It won't take long to get your medication, okay sweetie?"
Eddie looked down and let out a groan. "Fine..."
"That'a boy" Sonia pecked her son's head. "We can stop buy the candy store and you can pick some good candy for later, okay?"
Eddie's face immediately lit up.
Mean while Richie slouched down the stairs, tired and exhausted from the all night trip. He stood on the last step of the stairs, just staring into space.
"Richie, move!" Riley exclaimed behind him. But the boy with the glasses didn't flinch. He just was that tired.
"Ugh" Riley let out a groan and pushed Richie out of the way.
"Fuck" Richie whispered to himself as he softly hit against the wall. "You know you don't always have to be so mean"
"yeah yeah" Riley groaned and skipped to the living room.
Richie slid against the wall, sitting on the stair.
he knew he promised Eddie that they'd hand out as soon as he comes back, but he was really tired.
Maybe Eddie wouldn't mind if they'd hang out tomorrow?
"Richie, did you unpack already?" his mother walked to the hall.
Richie let out a grunt. "Do you expect me to do everything in a second? Let me rest, mom!"
"On the stairs?" his mother chuckled lightly, before walking to Richie and smiling at him. "Do you want to rest there?"
Richie shut his eyes and let out a sigh. "yeah...I'm too lazy to move"
Maggie shook her head and leaned down to pick up his son.
"Mom, what are you- put me down!"
"I won't let my son sleep on the stairs" Maggie said while walking up the stairs, holding Richie in her arms.
The boy with the glasses was too tired to fight back, but he just rested his head on Maggie's shoulder. He wrapped his small arms around his mother's neck and his legs around her waist.
