What now???

When I saw the bits of metal and fire filling up the sky I dunked all of my body under the water. A huge roar filled my ears and I screamed and screamed and screamed. There was no way I was alive.

I stayed under the water until the roaring grew a little quieter and until my lungs felt they were about to explode as well. Finally, my vision reappeared and I saw the bits of the huge plane steaming and slowly sinking down the water.

“KAYLA!” I screamed. I didn’t even know if she was alive. “HARRY!”

I heard coughing behind me and, sobbing, ran to it. Liam wrapped his arms around me. “Oh my gosh, are you okay?”

Was I? There was a huge pain in my leg, my face felt bloody, but know I think I was alive.

“Where are they?” My voice was horribly cracked, and the only thing I could see was Liam because there was so much smoke. Some little pieces of wood and metal were floating around, still on fire, so Liam and I had to dodge them from hitting us.

Liam suddenly made a groaning noise and I saw how bloody he was. But I kept swimming, screaming for Kayla and Harry.

Suddenly, a body hit me and I knew it was Harry. “Marisa?” He croaked. His skin looked black, and I mean black.

“Are you okay?” I ask, hugging him because I was so happy he was alive. “Where’s Kayla?”

He made another weird noise. “I...I don’t know.”

My heart was beating faster and faster and I had to have Liam hold me up, who just swam to us. “Look around.”

“I can’t see anything!” Harry says.

My leg was completely numb, so I had to swim with only the other one. Liam, Harry, and I made circles around the plane and dove deep into the water, calling Kayla. As I was carefully swimming, a floating object bumped into me.

“GUYS!” I screamed. The smoke cleared a little bit and I couldn’t help it. I leaned over and barfed into the water.

It was Louis. His body was lifeless, his eyes and mouth were open with fear, and his whole body was burned.

“LIAM!” I screamed. In a few seconds I was wrapped up in his shoulders again, bawling and bawling.

“Shhh,” He said, coaxing me like a little puppy. “It’s going to be okay.” His breath was warm and steady, and I shook so hard no matter how hard he wrapped me around him.

“Oh my god,” Harry said. He started to cry as well.

“Keep looking,” I said. I wasn’t giving up, no matter what.

After a few more minutes of screaming Kayla, my voice was completely gone. My whole body was weak and I could barely move, and I knew Harry was in horrible shape. He was the one who jumped out last and was closest to the explosion, besides Louis.

Finally, after about half and hour, we all circled back together. Without saying a word- we didn’t know how to explain this in words- we paddled until we found a shore.

I laid on the shore, and I couldn’t cry since there was no tears left.

“Hello?” A familiar voice called out, and I gasped.

As the burning pieces of the plane were falling all around me, I swam. I wasn’t sure what else to do, and I couldn’t see Harry, Marisa, or Liam so I just kept swimming.
