My eyes shot open and I saw Gage’s horrible face staring down at me. I felt his cold hand around my neck and tried to gasp. I tried to roll over and hit and kick him, but nothing worked.
I looked over and saw Harry being strangled too and Liam and Kayla waking up and screaming.
“WHAT THE FRICK!? LET THEM GO!” They both screamed.
I felt my face turning purple.
“This is the next challenge,” Raven said.
“Okay! But they can’t exactly do the challenge if they are DEAD!” Kayla yelled.
Raven rolled his eyes. “Fine, let them go.”
I felt the hand let go of my neck and tumbled to the ground, gasping for air.
Liam immediately ran over to me. “Are you okay?”
I felt air go in and out, so I think I was. “Yeah,” I said. Harry was standing up, looking a little red, and so was Kayla.
“So our challenge is being strangled?” Kayla asked.
“No,” Jean said, walking closer. “Kayla, you and Liam will do a challenge and while you are doing it Harry and Marisa will be getting tortured.”
“WHAT?” Harry and I yelled.
“And,” He continued, “They will stop being tortured when both of you finish the challenge.”
“What’s the challenge?” Liam asked.
“It’s a HUGE obstacle course,” Raven said. “It will take you at least two hours to complete it, give or take a few hours.”
“WHAT?” Kayla and Liam yelled.
I was not happy with this idea.
“Um,” I said, “Can’t we think of something LESS painful? Please?”
“Nope,” Jean said. “Sorry.”
“No you’re not,” Kayla said.
“Yeah, I’m not.”
“Okay, so Liam and Kayla, come with us,” Raven said.
They left the room. Jean and Gage were staring at us.
“Um, hi,” Harry said.
“Come with us,” They said.
“I’d rather not…” I said.
Jean grabbed our arms and pulled us into a huge, dark, creepy room. I could barely make out shiny, silver thingys that looked painful.
“Hey, do you want a cookie? Cuz I could get you a cookie, and then you know you wouldn’t have to torture us, cuz you would be sooooo happy,” I said.
“I’m allergic to cookies,” Gage said.
“HOW IS THAT HUMANLY POSSIBLE?” I said.
“It is,” He said.
“Just get in the chairs,” Jean said, pushing us forward.
I sat in a cold, hard chair, and Harry sat next to me. We both looked at each other and gulped. Jean stood in front of us while Gage moved to the side and started up some machines.
“No, please stop!” I said, now begging. “Stop!”
I screamed.
Liam and I walked into the hot, hot, HOT sun. It was probably about a hundred degrees outside. “It’s too hot to do ANYTHING physical,” I whined.
“Oh, don’t worry. Half way through it’ll start to pour,” Raven said, grinning.
I sighed.
Liam and I whirled around to see the obstacle course. It was huge, and when I say huge I mean like half the size of the Grand Canyon. I saw a bunch of mud, jumps, and stuff like that but there was so much that I couldn’t focus on one thing.
“Okay, so,” Raven said, leading us to the starting line,” “GO!”
Liam and I began to run. “Let’s stay together,” he said. “It’s not like they get to leave before one of us finishes anyway.”
I sighed, “You just think that I’ll take too long by myself.”
“Yeah, that too.”
We began to run faster, but then we came to a huge wall. “A wall?” I asked.
“Yeah.” Liam looked around for a way to go around it but there was none. “Okay. We’ll have to climb.”
Turns out the wall was sticky. I jumped up onto it and my hands and feet stuck. “LIAM!” I screamed, “IT STICCCKAAAY!” Liam jumped up. We began to climb and climb and climb and we were only half way up it before I began to get tired. We kept going though and soon we made it to the top.
“Kay, now what?” I called but no one answered.
I looked down and saw a deep pit of mud. “Ewww, noooo.” I said, half-crying. “Cliff diving I can do. But not this!”
“Just jump!” Liam screamed .
“You go first!” I screamed back.
“No, because if I go first you’ll take forever to jump. Think about Harry and Marisa! They’re getting freaking TORTURED!”
Sighing, I jumped.
My stomach dropped and I screamed. I hit the mud and couldn’t breathe for a second because I had gone so far down. I pushed up and let the air run down my lungs. Liam was next to me, filthy.
“GROSS!” I screamed.
We made our way out of the mud. Next I saw two…ostriches? “The fudge?” I screamed.
“Ride them,” Raven’s voice came through the intercom.
“Ride THEM?” Liam screamed.
“Yes, them.”
I clapped happily and jumped onto one. Liam reluctantly did the same. They began to gallop like horses and soon we came to…hurdles?
“Ohh CRAPPPP!” Liam screamed.
I figured out that there were reins and yelled at the top of my lungs as we went over the hurdle. There were nine more and as we went on I found it more and more difficult to stay on the animal.
On the last hurdle I flew off.
Liam finished and I stood, groaning. I was muddy, bruised, and HOT. “You okay?” he asked.
“Fine,” I said grumpily and marched on.
I almost fell into it.
By “it” I mean the huge poop ditch. Crap hole. Whatever the hell you wanna call it.
“OHMIGOD!” I yelled, backing away.
There was a rope above of it. “No, no, no, no, noooo….”
“Yes,” Liam said. He grabbed me and half threw me onto the rope. I began to climb, kind of like a monkey, across it. Except that my back was to the crap. So I guess that it was more like a sloth. The smell was horrible.
“Having fun?” Jean’s voice came through. I guessed that him and Raven had switched.
I groaned in response.
I made it to the end without falling, but as my feet hit the grass I heard Liam scream. I whipped around to see him…in the crap.
He looked like he was going to throw up.
He was nearly to the end and I helped him out and whipped my now poop covered hands on the grass. I couldn’t help but laugh, because it was kind of funny.
“Not funny,” he mumbled.
We looked ahead, looking to see what was next.
