Feeling clammy??

I said my last goodbye to Kayla as she ran out of the water. Obviously, she had no plan.
“What is she doing?” I said to Liam. We were both propping up Harry between us, and he was whispering random things.
“I honestly have no idea whatsoever,” Liam said. “I’m just trying to keep you and Harry alive!”
    “And yourself, right?”
    “Yeah.”
Suddenly, through the sound of the flames reaching the edge of the jungle, we heard a tree breaking sound. Liam didn’t seem to notice. My mouth fell right open as I see Kayla’s body clutching a tall tree that’s falling right over.
“Liam. Liam. Liam!” I screeched and pointed to Kayla.
    “Oh.....my....GOD!” Harry managed to mumble.
“TIMBER!” Kayla yelled. Then there was nothing. The flames covered any hope on seeing her.
“Kayla!” I yelled back. I was NOT loosing her after everything that had happened. I ran out of the water and followed Kayla’s voice.
“Marisa! Stop!” Liam yelled, but luckily he didn’t follow.
As I entered the jungle, I immediately started coughing like crazy as the smoke covered everything. I kept running and running, yelling for Kayla here and there. Finally, I think I reached a fallen tree. It was on fire.
“KAYLA!” I yelled, and my eyes watered from the smoke and I kept running and coughing. I heard Liam’s yelling get quieter and quieter until I hit something hard and fell down.
    “Marisa!” A voice called.
“God?” I mumbled. “Is that you?”
“What the hell are you doing? Stop running into cliffs!”
“Kayla?” I tried to see something, but all that I knew was that something hard was in front of me and I was close to death.
Suddenly, something grabs me and pulls me far up. The last thing I feel is being put on the ground.

Frankly, I think that it would have probably been easier to wait the fire out if Marisa hadn’t tried to save me, but still, she was a good friend.
I pulled her up after she ran into the wall and set her unconscious body on the ground. Then I sat down and stared at the burning flames as they slowly ate up the island.
I could see some of the water from here. At least Harry and Liam were safe and me and Marisa weren’t dead. Finally, the flames died down enough for us to get back to the water.
I shook Marisa, “MARISA!” I screamed, slapping her face to wake her up.
“Owww...” she mumbled as her eyes fluttered, “What the?”
“Guess what?” She didn’t answer. “WE’RE ALIVE!”
    She sat up, “We’re alive?”
“Yep. Let’s go back to Liam and Harry.”
Me and Marisa jumped into the ashes that once was the island and headed toward the ocean. We saw the two boys slowly walking out of the water.
Marisa began to sprint toward Liam. I walked, because I was exhausted from not sleeping the whole night before.
I watched as he swallowed her up in a bear hug and as she cried a little on his shoulder. “I don’t like fires.” She murmured, and he smiled a little. “I know.”
I gasped when I saw Harry. His burns looked a lot better. I guess spending the night in the water did him a lot of favors. His skin looked almost smooth now. You could still see the burns, but they were much smaller and a light pink. He was smiling as he hugged me, tightly for the first time in while. “Hey.”
“Hey.” I said, pulling back so that I could look at him again. “You look a hell of a lot better.”
Harry smiled again, “I know. And all it took was a night of agony.”
I laughed. “What were you thinking?” He asks.
“Oh, I don’t know. Who cares?”
“I have to admit, if we had gotten you falling on the tree on camera and put it on YouTube I bet it would get a billion hits.”
I smiled, “Yea, I bet it would.” I kissed him and the same shiver ran through my body.
Someone cleared their throat behind me, “Kayla?” Liam asks, “What exactly was your plan?”
“I did not have one.” I said slowly.
And then we were all laughing. Liam started after I talked. “You...looked...so...stupid...falling...” he murmured.
Marisa joined in, and then Harry did. “Yea...your face...” Marisa said.
Harry laughed, “You gave me a frickin heart attack...but it was pretty hilarious.”
I laughed with them, rolling in the ashes of the island that me and Harry burned.

Okay, so now that we survived an exploding plane, kidnappers, crazy TV show people, fighting animals, and fire, we had to survive the wild. I had seen some of those shows about people in the jungle, which was helpful....but the people always ended up being eaten by dinosaurs....not helpful.
We were all so exhausted from everything, so we laid down in the sand and fell asleep immediately. I stared at the stars for a while, though, and tried to think about my old life. But the thing was, now I didn’t really want to go home. I didn’t want to spend a second without Liam, even if that meant being stranded on a island. But, I didn’t want to die. Someone would have seen the smoke, right? They must be sending out a rescue team soon.
Once my eyes opened to the bright sun, I sat up and stretched. Liam and Harry were still asleep.
    “Marisa?” Kayla asked.
    “Yeah?”
    “I miss Emmalina,” She mumbled.
I sighed. “You know what, I do too. But what I really can’t get out of my head is seeing Louis’s dead body floating around.”
“Oh, I was wondering what ever happened to that guy,” Kayla said, nodding. “Ew.”
“So honestly- what are we going to do?” I asked her.
“I found some berries yesterday that we could use, you know, BEFORE I GOT ATTACKED BY A MONKEY!”
My eyes widened. “Ohhhhh. I thought I heard a scream.”
“Yeah, well thanks for the assistance!” She yelled at me.
“Your welcome. Let’s go get the berries!” I stood up.
“Wait! We have to leave a note,” Kayla said, kneeling into the sand she wrote in huge letters:
    HARRY AND LIAM: BRB
    LOVE, MARISA AND KAYLA
    “Perfect.”

When we got back with a batch of berries, the boys were sitting on the sand talking. “Hey,” Harry said to me.
I leaned down and gave him a kiss, “Hey.”
Liam made a groaning noise, “I don’t think I’ve ever seen a couple kiss at much at you two.” He popped a berry in his mouth.
I stuck my tongue out at him. Marisa laughed. “Guys, what are we going to do?”
“I don’t know.” I shrugged. “What do you think?”
    “I asked you first.”
    “I asked you second.”
    “So?”
    “So why not?”
Marisa cracked a smile. “Seriously, what are we going to do?”
“Look!” Harry said, pointing at the water. There’s fish in there! If we can catch one we can cook it!”
“Oh yea. Let’s try.” I said.
“What are we going to swim in...our clothes?” Of course, Marisa would be interested in this information.
“Well unless you happened to have brought a swimsuit with you, yes.” Harry joked.
The boys stripped down to their boxers, which were pretty much like trunks anyway. Marisa glanced at me, “What are you gonna---”
“Oh, calm down. Underwear reveals no more than a typical bikini and besides we’ve been through enough with these guys that I doubt that they’ll even care.”
This was true, but still, the moment we were done we sprinted into the water. The boys followed us in and I couldn’t help but stare at Harry’s toned abbs. I noticed Marisa was staring at Liam’s arms.
“How do you catch a fish in the water?” Liam asked.
    “I guess you just....grab it?” I answered.
That didn’t work out too well. Us fishing ended up with Harry throwing me around in the water while kissing and Liam and Marisa laughing about how slippery fish were.
Liam dove under and when he came back up he was grinning. “Clams! There’s clams at the bottom! We can gather and cook them.”
“You’re so smart.” Marisa said, kissing him on the cheek.
We all dove down and collected clams. Harry found some still burning wood nearby and placed the clams on them. While we waited we played Marco Polo.
Marisa was it first, and when she got Liam they kissed for like five seconds! I think that was the first time that I’d seen them kiss.
Liam got me, and I got Harry by tackling him in the water. He tackled me right back, and he kissed me, careful not to touch certain parts of my skin.
Maybe we really could survive on this island.
