Harry and Liam took the two single beds after the freaky ginger who kind of looked like Ed Sheeran left. There was no ladder to get to the top of the bed so I just stood on Marisa’s bed and pulled myself up.
We didn’t have anything to change into so after Liam got up and turned the light off we just laid there, not sleeping. It was so pitch black that you couldn’t even see your own hand in front of you face.
“Well this is kind of scary,” Marisa said.
“Kinda,” I answered.
After a while I heard Liam softly snoring and Marisa’s breathing became steady. I closed my eyes and eventually drifted off to sleep too.
I dreamed that something was tickling my arm.
It was small and delicate, and was moving very fast. I giggled in my sleep quietly, and my eyes slowly fluttered open, immediately flying to my arm.
The first thing that they laid eyes on was a huge, hairy, absolutely disgusting spider.
I screamed at the top of my lungs and began to fling my arm around. I threw the covers off of me and swore, my arm still waving around in the air trying to get the bug off of me. I rolled to the left and I felt myself falling, then pain in my back when I hit the not-so-clean carpet. I leaped up and began to scream again, ignoring the pain in my head and focusing on the thing on my arm.
“What the hell?” Harry said, sitting up in bed.
Marisa groaned, saw the thing of my arm, and began to scream. She leaped up to my bunk and wrapped her arms around her knees, muttering, “Keep that thing away from me.”
Liam stood up, glanced at me, and actually laughed.
I was still running around screaming at the top of my lungs, my hair flying.
Harry and Liam both came over and tried to flick the thing off of me but I was moving too much for them to be able to hit it.
Finally Liam grabbed my shoulders and held me still while Harry picked the thing up with a pen. I tore away from Liam and looked at it again, and flinched thinking that it was on me.
“Ewww,” Marisa said from my bunk.
“It’s not gonna hurt you,” Harry said, eyeing the thing, “I don’t think so anyway.”
“Hi little buddy,” Liam said, looking at it.
“What?” I shrilled, “It was trying to kill me!”
“I don’t even think it’s poisonous,” Harry said, “But just in case, you didn’t get bitten right?”
“How the hell should I know?” I asked, still panicking.
Calmly, he said, “Well look.”
I checked my arm and saw no bite marks so I shook my head no.
“Good,” Liam said. He looked at Marisa, “Marisa, you can come down.”
“Nuh-uh,” Marisa said, “Not till he gets rid of that thing.”
Harry walked over to the window, which was small enough that none of us would be able to fit through it, and threw the spider out. “It’ll drown.”
I took a shaky breath. “I frickin hate that thing. I want a new cabin.”
“There’s no more bugs,” Harry said.
“There could be!” Me and Marisa both said at once.
“Well then you go talk to the kidnappers about it, and see what they say, huh?” Harry said sharply and my eyes narrowed.
“I will.” I said and left.
Spiders. The most disgusting thing in life. I was still shivering from seeing that...horrible thing.
Kayla had stormed out of the cabin, and I didn’t want to stay there either, so I said, “I better follow her.”
“Are you okay?” I asked Kayla when we were in the hallway.
“No,” She said, shaking. “I feel gross.”
“What cat died?” Jean said, coming out of the cabin with groggy eyes and Gage and Devin.
“None. But hopefully a certain spider,” I said.
Harry and Liam came out of the room too, and we all just awkwardly stood there.
“Hey!” Kayla yelled down the stairs.
“WHAT?!” A voice called back.
“ARE YOU GOING TO FEED US?” She yelled.
“WHY SHOULD WE?”
“CUZ WE ARE HUMAN BEINGS AND WE NEED FOOD TO SURVIVE!”
“SHUT UP!” A new voice said. “I’M TRYING TO SLEEP HERE!”
“MAKE ME!” Kayla yelled.
“They will, Kayla, so you better shut up,” Gage said.
She crossed her arms and stuck her tongue out.
We headed down the stairs and saw that they were actually going to not let us starve. Laying there were tiny plates with single frozen solid waffles and gross looking water.
“You expect us to eat and drink that?” I said.
All of the guys swallowed their food in three seconds.
“I’d rather starve,” Kayla said.
I started picking off little pieces of the waffle, because I didn’t.
“So are you going to tell us NOW where you are taking us? And where we are?” Devin said. I think he was really sea-sick last night cuz he still didn’t look healthy.
I looked out the window and saw that we were in the middle of the ocean. I didn’t like that feeling.
“You’ll see soon enough,” The blonde said. They were all sitting on kitchen seats and drinking beer- at nine in the morning.
“Just tell us, dude,” Liam said.
They rolled their eyes. “We’re going to Indonesia?”
“Wha???” Kayla said. “Why?”
“Why not?” Ginger said.
“YOLO,” Kayla said.
“But seriously, why?” Harry asked. He looked annoyed at the comments Kayla was making, which made me want to strangle him.
“We have some...business to do there,” Blondie said.
“What kind of business?” I said, raising my eyebrows.
“A certain kind,” He replied. “Now go back to your cabins. You already know too much. Boss will be mad.”
“Boss?” Jean asked. I could tell he was feeling left out since he was used to being in charge.
Brown haired pulled out a gun and said, “Get out. Now.”
We hurried up the stairs like bunnies.
