Driving to Dallas would take about three hours. But hey, that was okay with me. I wasn’t exactly looking forward to seeing Jean again. I kinda liked it when we were just homeless, walking around, but I knew we had to find him.

But I had gotten so much sleep in the past two days that I wasn’t tired at all. So Kayla and I entertained ourselves by playing Eye Spy while the guys were sleeping, until Kayla yelled at me because she almost ran over an old lady crossing the street when she was looking for something yellow.

We stopped for food one more time and then finally arrived in Dallas. There was a giant sign that said WELCOME TO DALLAS!

“Yay,” Kayla said, sighing. I think she was tired of driving. I was just thankful we weren’t dead.

Dallas was awesome. I wanted to live there. We passed so many barns with horses grazing in fields going on and on, and the city was really busy. Kayla parked the car behind a parking lot of a Chinese Restaurant and we started walking around.

“So, what exactly are we looking for?” Liam asked.

“Well, maybe Jean’s big scary friends work place is around here,” Kayla suggested.

So we looked around for signs that said- BIG SCARY KIDNAPPING BUSINESS. No such luck.

“Maybe Liam and I should go into a library or something to try to find them on the internet,” Harry said.

“Ya, we could try that,” Liam said. They walked into a library- but we stayed right outside of the building, swinging our feet off the ledge we were sitting on.

“Dang, there are so many cute cowboys here,” Kayla said.

    I nodded, smiling.

I heard voices and turned around to see two cowboys walking over to us. They were wearing plaid shirts, jeans, boots, and cowboy hats- duh. One of them had dark, brown hair, pale skin and blue eyes and the other was tan with light brown hair and brown eyes. And they  both had really cute grins.

“Howdy,” The tan one said to us. And they had perty good voices.

    “Hi,” Kayla replied, smiling.

    I raised my eyebrow.

“So, what brings you two lassies down to Dallas?” The pale one said.

“Just visiting for a few days,” Kayla said.

“Well, welcome. I’m Jake and this here is Sean.” He pointed to the tan one.

“Nice to meet you,” I said. “I’m Marisa and this is Kayla.”

    They both smiled.

“You know, there’s this really great restaurant down the street, you girls wanna bite?” Sean asked.

“Um....” I said, looking at Kayla.

    “Sounds cool,” Kayla said.

Just then, Liam and Harry walked out of the library and stared at the guys.

“Um.....hi,” Harry said, stepping forward. “Can we help you?”

“Hi, who are y'all?” Jake asked.

“Their boyfriends,” Liam said, raising his eyebrow.

Both boys turned to look at us.

Kayla smiled and my face burned.

“Oh......” Sean said. “Sorry....we didn’t know.” Then they walked away.

“Call me!” Kayla yelled at them, and I smiled.

Fifteen minutes later we were sitting down at a IHop and Liam and Harry were still mad.

“I just don’t get why you had to say call me...” Harry mumbled for the billionth time.

“I was kidding,” I moaned. “Chill out, curls.”

I’d begun to call him that. Curls. It fit him.

Marisa sighed and took another bite of her waffle, “I didn’t say anything,” she said, looking at Liam obviously proud.

“Shut upppp,” I said and she smiled.

Suddenly, a man walked up to us wearing a black hat and suit. He had a belt around his waist full of what looked like balloons. “Howdy y’all,” he said, eyeing me and Marisa. God, was everyone is Dallas this flirtatious?

Harry and Liam both sighed and threw their heads back, making me smirk.

“Sup?” I said while Marisa blushed.

“Do you want a balloon animal?”

“Oh my god yes!” Marisa screamed.

Harry grumbled, “Why are you walking around giving people balloon animals?” I had to admit, he was extremely hot when he was possessive.

“Tips are my pay,” the man said. “Now, what can I get you?”

    “I want a chicken,” I said sternly.

    “One chicken coming up!”

“And I want an elephant,” Marisa added.

Two minutes later I had a chicken and Marisa had an elephant and Harry and Liam were even more upset. I hit Harry lightly on the arm and said, “Currrllss....

“Oh wait...” Liam said, “How are we paying?”

“Dangit,” Marisa said, “Why don’t we ever think of stuff like that?”

“Well Marisa and I could seduce the balloon man into letting us eat for free..”

“No!” Harry and Liam both screamed and Marisa and I laughed.

Harry was the first to stop. “Holy (insert swear word of your choice)! Look.”

I turned around and gasped when I saw the ginger boy smirking at me. He walked over to us, flanked by Gage and Raven. “I thought I left you guys back at the hospital,” Jean said, the smirk still dancing on his lips. He nodded at Harry, “I see you look much better.”

    Harry just nodded.

“Why are you here?” Jean asked.

“Well you can’t just leave us back there like you did. You knew we were gonna find you,” Liam answered.

Jean shrugged. “Kayla,” he said, addressing me.

“That’s my name. Don’t wear it out.”

“You still look hot,” Jean said, and I vaguely wondered if he thought that we were still dating. After I had broken down and even went to the operating room when Harry had gotten shot you would think that he would realize that we were still together, but who knows.

“Well,” Jean started, “Since your here, I guess I can use you. Gage, pull out your wallet and pay for breakfast. I need to introduce them to Dester.”
