Long time no fight

We both walked out of the movie theater arms around each other, still laughing at the funny parts.
I threw out my empty carton of Raisinets that I finished before the movie even started and the Icee that we shared (with two straws, cuz I was a germaphobe).
We walked passed the arcade and I thought back to the time a few months ago when Liam won me a huge Panda that was practically bigger than me. Liam opened the door for me and we went and sat on the bench in the center of the huge shopping area, not wanting to go home yet. Liam had bought a used red old looking car once his 16th birthday had came. He had a pair of dice in the mirror and the car had a lot of…. issues. It broke down all the time and made really funny noises as he drove down the street, but I loved it. That’s how I knew he was coming.
I swung my feet under the bench and looked around. It wasn’t very crowded on this Wednesday, there was just a couple people walking around.
“We should go to Robeks,” I said. “I loveeeee their smoothies.”
“Sounds good,” Liam said, so we walked over to the small smoothie shop. I got the Strawnana Berry, which was my favorite, and Liam got the Pina Colada one.
We walked back outside with our drinks and sat down on the curb, because there were no benches nearby.
“Hey,” Liam said, squinted his eyes, sucking on his straw. Then he swallowed. “Do you see that car over there?”
I looked at where he was squinting and saw a huge car that was grey. “It looks more like…a truck,” I said.
“I feel like I saw it earlier today when we were leaving the hotel,” He continued.
My pulse started rising. No, no, no…. this couldn’t be happening.
I shrugged, trying to hide my panic. “It’s probably just a coincidence.”
Liam nodded after a few seconds. “Yeah.”
We finished our smoothies and threw them away, then walked to his car. I hopped in shotgun and Liam started up the junky thing. Even the sound of his engine didn’t calm me.
Once we got out of the shopping center, there was a red light. I tried to breathe normally, but it wasn’t working. I looked in the rear-view mirror.
“Oh my god, Liam.” I whispered.
“What?” He said, taking his eyes off the road to look at me.
“Don’t turn around. They’re following us.”
Liam’s hands tensed on the wheel. “I won’t drive to the hotel. Let’s just drive around and see if they follow us. Get your phone ready for emergencies.”
I nodded and gripped the thing like it was my lifeline.
Liam turned on a different street that was pretty busy. Smart. There had to be other people around.
          “Text Kayla,” Liam said.
“Okay,” I replied, my voice quavering.
I texted her: The kidnappers r following us. Txt me bak rite away.
I waited five minutes, Liam driving around in practically squares, looking in the mirror every ten seconds and still seeing the grey truck.
“She’s not texting back,” I said. “And I called her three times too. What…. what if they already took them?”
“I don’t think so,” Liam said. “She’s probably just not picking up her phone and jumping off cliffs with Harry.”
“What?” I looked up at him.
His mouth curved into a smile. “Oh, yeah, you didn’t know about that? Kayla and Harry go to this cliff to jump off and like make out and stuff.”
“WHAT?” I said, almost jumping out of my seat. “I need to have a talk with her.”
          Liam laughed for a second.
“They’re still following us,” I said. “Park in Jewel.”
“Okay,” He nodded, stopping the car in the parking lot for the grocery store. There were quite a lot of people there.
The creepy truck slowly parked five rows away.
“Stay in the car,” Liam told me.
          I nodded quietly.
I watched in awe as five men came out of the car. I couldn’t identify their faces, but two were blond, two were dark brown, and one was red haired. They started walking over to us, but the red headed one stayed by the truck.
My heart was racing and my brain was buzzing. There was no way to escape. They probably had guns.
“I’m calling 911,” I said, fumbling around with my phone.
“I don’t think so,” A voice said, and suddenly huge hands grabbed me and took the phone away. One of the brown haired guys chucked it into the highway and I saw it crunch under giant cars.
I looked at Liam, who looked almost as panicked as me.
          “Remember us?” The brunette said.
          Suddenly my mouth dropped. “Raven?”

          Harry kissed me.
I heard my phone ringing from the top of cliff, a One Direction song that was really loud. I sighed, “Ugggh what does she want?” I asked, “She’s called me like three times.”
Harry mumbled, “I don’t know. Who cares?” I shrugged and got lost in his lips.
We went on for a while, but stopped when we heard a sound that sounded really close. Harry pulled away reluctantly, “Footsteps?” he asked, “Who comes out here?”
          “Nobody,” I said.
I looked to the left, Harry’s arms still around me. “I don’t see anything. It was probably just some dumb hiker or something.”
“Yeah,” Harry said, “Probably.” We went back to kissing.
Harry grabbed my waist and I kissed his cheek. He picked me up and I moved to his mouth. Suddenly, I heard... clapping? Oh, crap, what if it was Marisa? If she knew she would kill me.
I pulled away from Harry and my eyes must have told him that something was wrong because he whipped around. “Bravo,” the redheaded eighteen year old said from the shore. “I gotta admit, that was quite a show.”
“Jean.” I said, the word sounding bad on my tongue. I wasn’t all the surprised. I’d dreamed of him coming back, wanting revenge on the pirate I had killed. I almost…expected him to show up. “Long time no see.”
Jean nodded. Three boys flanked him, and one I recognized as Gage. “It has been quite a long time, hasn’t it? Why don’t you two come out here?”
I glanced at Harry, who looked mad.  A part of my body was terrified, going into panic mode, but another was anticipating the fight that I knew was probably to come.
Harry and me looked at each other and a sly smile spread on his lips. “Let’s go,” he mouthed and I knew what he meant.
We swam out of the water and faced the four boys.
“You never did get your revenge for what I did to Devin, did you?” I asked.
“Yeah,” Harry said, “In fact, I thought that you died on the ship wreck. It’s a shame you didn’t.”
Jean clenched his fist. “Boys,” he said, “Get em’.”
Harry leaped forward and went to attack Jean right away. He hadn’t lost his fighting ability. He punched Jean in the face and he fell into the dirt.
Two boys came after me, but like Harry, I was expecting it. I kicked one in the chest and he fell, and punched the other in the side of the head, making my hand tingle.
“Kayla!” Harry yelled and I turned to see the other boy coming at me. He punched me in the gut and I grabbed my stomach. Harry ran over and grabbed the guys shirt and threw him into the water.
Jean stood up, “Two against four just isn’t in your guys favor,” he said, shaking his head. “Especially since I have five other boys hiding.”
My eyes grew wide and I felt someone hit me in the back of the knees and catch me as I fell.
