Harry took a step towards Jean. “What do I have to do?”

Raven smiled slyly, “It was easy to find most of your weakness. Marisa’s? Death. Liam’s was a bit more difficult but with some help it came easily. Kayla’s was the easiest of them all. But yours…yours, I think, will be the most entertaining.

“We spent a long time planning this. My helpers built a small, fake island of which they will set fire to. With you, alone on it.”

          Harry paled. “That’s…I’ll die.”

          “Possibly.”

I squirmed standing up. Harry had had the worst experiences with fire. The plane crash, the island…the night in the water which helped him but hurt him a lot.

They moved us all to the island. It was pretty small. Liam, Marisa, and I stood on a platform above the island so that we could see the whole thing and Harry.

“Go.” Raven’s voice ran through the whole arena like thing and I could see as a wildfire was set near Harry. Harry began to run in the opposite direction but I could see the smoke building up and surrounding him.

          He began to run slower.

          “Crap,” Liam said.

I bit my tongue, not wanting to talk. “What is he doing?” Marisa asked.

He was running sideways, so that he was right on the edge of where the fire was. There wasn’t much on the island, a few bushes, trees, and stuff like that, and no water was surrounding it.

“Is he….oh, god.” Liam said, pressing his hand against his forehead. “See what you do, Kayla?”

Actually, I didn’t. I wasn’t sure what he was doing. It seemed that he was going up though…and… “He’s climbing a tree!” I exclaimed.

“Yeah, he is. And do you remember the last time one of us tried to climb a tree during a fire?” Marisa asked.

But it kind of worked. The fire spread past the tree without harming him, but the tree was wobbling as the fire spread up it. I wonder if I looked that funny when I was doing it.

          Eventually the tree fell.

Harry flew off of it, and I think I literally stopped breathing as he flew through the air, kind of like superman.

          He landed in the fire.

“Ahhh, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit!” Liam and I were letting out a collection of curses while Marisa was going, “Ohhh noo. Crap. Ohhhh God!”

I wanted to cover my eyes.

But then I saw his wild hair running out of the fire.

“Is he alive?” I heard Gage whisper to Jean.

          “I hope not,” Jean answered.

Harry’s voice, which was strangled, came over the loudspeaker, “Let…me…out….of….here…”

“Let him out!” Liam and I screamed at the same time.

“In a minute. He still has a minute left.”

I don’t think that he was going to last a minute.
