Keith One Shots

~School Trip~

Ok I really didn't expect to wake up and have 2K reads so I freaked out and mentally flipped some tables. Seriously thank you so much! Also 88 votes, like breh. Anyways I don't have a special chapter for you people because I didn't expect this to happen but here is a chapter that I thought of while on a coach trip falling asleep. Enjoy!

Third P.O.V

Keith grumbled as he got on the school bus. The Garrison were taking his class on a little trip. Keith had no idea where they were actually going because he never paid attention during classes but he assumed they were going to look at some spaceship or something. The only thing he knew for sure was that it was a seven hour drive and he wasn't looking forward to it. He lazily sat down near the middle of the coach and sighed. Most people on this trip had someone they were sitting next to but Keith didn't exactly have any friends so he sat by himself. Or that was what he had planned to do.

The teachers soon began walking onto the coach and Keith heard someone place their bag down next to him. Keith turned his head and saw Shiro smiling down at him.

"Is it alright if I sit here?" Shiro asked, beaming at the little boy.

"Sure" Keith mumbled, looking back out of the window. Keith would of preferred to of sat alone but he didn't mind Shiro too much. Shiro seemed pretty chill so as long as he didn't talk to Keith, this journey would be fine.

It had been about an hour and everything had been going fine so far. Shiro hadn't tried to talk to Keith at all. Instead he had headphones on and was listening to music. Keith had just been staring out of the window and watching as the scenery went by.

Keith soon realised that he was becoming tired. He hadn't exactly slept well last night..... or the night before.... or a lot of nights before that. He could feel his eye lids getting heavier by the second but he kept forcing them open. He didn't want to fall asleep because he had heard that the boys in front of him were taking pictures of anyone who fell asleep. Keith was happy with his reputation of being the untouchable, tough guy and he didn't want that reputation to be ruined thanks to some dumb picture of him sleeping. He sat up straight and tried to wake himself up.

The sitting up straight method had been working at first but Keith soon began to feel tired again. His eyes kept fluttering open and closed. "Don't fall asleep" he mentally told himself but he just couldn't help it. The humming of the coach engine and the gentle shaking of the road was lulling him to sleep. He closed his eyes once again and kept them closed. He felt his head fall to the side and land on the thing next to him.

"Wait a minute, the window was the other side of me" he thought.

He managed to force his eyes open just enough to see that he was leaning on Shiro's shoulder. He tried to lift himself off but he just couldn't find the energy to. He looked up at Shiro who was softly smiling back at him.

"Its okay" Shiro said. "You can go to sleep"

Keith mumbled a small "Thank you" in response and closed his eyes, letting sleep engulf him.

Shiro looked down at the small boy who was slowly starting to wake up. He knew Keith had been tired and decided to let the boy use his shoulder as a pillow. Shiro had noticed that Keith seemed to move around a lot in his sleep. He also seemed to mumble random gibberish under his breath. Shiro wondered what the boy had been dreaming about that caused him to move around so much but he decided it would be best not to ask.

Shiro watched as Keith sleepily opened his eyes and sat up. It took Keith a few seconds to remember where he was and what he had been doing but once he had realised he looked up at Shiro.

"Had a nice sleep?" Shiro asked, smiling at him.

"Mhm" Keith hummed back, but he didn't seem so sure. He then yawned and started looking out of the window again. "Thanks for um.... you know" Keith said quietly.

"Anytime" Shiro replied, putting his headphones that he had taken off back on his head.

The class had now been on the coach for about four hours and they were in the middle of going on a slightly bumpy road. Keith had started to feel sick from all the shaking and bumping. Keith didn't normally get travel sickness, but it was a fairly bumpy road. He put his knees up to his chest and hugged them, praying he wouldn't actually throw up.

Shiro soon noticed the boy's change in behaviour but he couldn't figure out what was wrong. It took him a few minutes to realise how pale the boy looked and how he was curling himself up in a ball.

"Are you okay?" Shiro asked, giving Keith a sympathetic look.

Keith hesitated before replying. "Y-yeah" He said, burying his face into his knees. Shiro knew something was up.

"Do you feel sick?" he asked, putting his hand on Keith's back. Keith replied with a faint nod. Shiro let out a sigh and reached for the sick bucket that was on the empty seat on the other side of him. He kept it on his lap just in case Keith would need it but for now Shiro just drew circles on Keith's back with his finger.

Shiro had been drawing circles on Keith's back for a few minutes now and Keith hadn't moved since. Shiro put the sick bucket back on the seat next to him and was about to put his headphones on again when he noticed Keith falling forward. His legs fell off the edge of the chair and he was about to face-plant the chair in front of him but Shiro caught him before he did so. Turns out Keith had found Shiro's actions very relaxing and he had fallen asleep again. Shiro smiled before leaning the boy on his shoulder again. He could tell that Keith had been worried about someone taking a picture of him so Shiro would make sure that didn't happen. Something about Keith made him think of himself as a child. He wanted to get to know this boy and find out why he was always so secretive. For now, this was one step closer to doing so....
