Sometimes I wonder if my one shots are too Keith based but then I remember this is a Keith one shots book and that's what you're here for.

Btw I have no knowledge of hospitals or injuries what so ever so don't attack me.

Keith's P.O.V

At first, I thought I was dead.

I couldn't see, feel or hear anything. There was just nothing.

Until suddenly, I could hear muffled sounds.

I couldn't really make out what I was hearing, but it sounded like a beeping. I forced my eyes open the best I could, blinking frantically when I was blinded by the bright light. I tried my best to remember where I had last been but the memory slipped away from me.

"I think he's waking up." An unidentified voice spoke. I made a final attempt to open my eyes and managed to make out a figure. Eventually my eyes focused on the person in front of me, and I identified them as Lance, my boyfriend.

"Keith! Are you okay? Quick, Pidge! Get the nurse!" He shouted frantically. I blinked a few more times, getting rid of the last bit of blurriness.

"Lance..." I muttered, my voice sounding croaky and tired. God, how long had I been out?

"Hey baby, thank god you're awake. Are you feeling okay?" Lance asked, his voice sounding a little shaky.

"What happened to- to me..?" I asked, looking around. By the looks of things, I was in a hospital. I could faintly see Shiro, Hunk and Allura standing slightly further back than Lance.

"You got into a bit of an accident while on your motorcycle. You've been out for about a day. Don't worry, Pidge is getting the nurse." Lance explained. I looked down at myself, noticing how one of my hands was bandaged up, whilst the other one was being held by Lance. I could feel a bandage on the right side of my cheek and one rapped around my head. It  was then when I started to feel the ache through my body. I closed my eyes again before Lance gently squeezed my hand.

"Babe, don't go to sleep yet. The nurses need to check you're okay." He said. I let out a sigh before trying to sit up, but Lance lightly pushed me back down. "No sitting up either. Or talking. Just... don't do anything until the nurse comes, okay?"

"Can.. Can I ask something?" I said.

"Fine, just one thing."

"Is my motorcycle okay?"

Lance and the others chuckled loudly.

"You're unbelievable. You're in a hospital with needles in your hand and bandages on your head and you want to know if you're motorcycle is okay?" Lance's smile was worth the stupid question. "Sadly, no. It's pretty beat up and not exactly fixable. It's a miracle you're alive, to be honest. We can get you a new motorcycle."

"That one belonged to my dad.." I said, my eyes drooping slightly. It was the only thing I really had that was my dads.

"I know, sweetie, I know. I'm just grateful you're alive." I noticed how Lance's eyes teared up ever so slightly. I weakly rubbed his hand with my thumb, trying to be as reassuring as I could. He smiled at me and took my hand to his mouth, kissing it gently.

At least I had Lance.

"Mr Kogane, we have some bad news." The nurse said, taking a seat by my bed. The nurses had checked me over and left the room to discuss something. I squeezed Lance's hand a little tighter.
