Ok so I'm not here to moan about why allurance shouldn't have been canon and stuff I'm just here to write my promised chapter okay? Cool. Now let's do this.

Based on season 8 if Allura had survived.

Third P.O.V

"I love you so much Allura" Lance said, holding the Altean's hands gently. She smiled at him and pulled herself closer.

"I love you too Lance" She said, slowly bringing her head closer. They both seemed to be pulled in until their lips connected. They wrapped their arms around each other as their lips moved in perfect sinc. They let out small moans as they explored each other's mouths. (please help)

They eventually slowly pulled away, panting slightly. They looked into each other's eyes with nothing but love for each other. After a few seconds of just eye contact, they bought themselves back into another kiss. They could do this all night. After all, no one was watching them...

right..?

Wrong.

Keith could feel his heart breaking by the second. The more he watched the two of them, the more shards of his heart he felt shatter off. He knew he shouldn't have followed them on their second date. He knew he shouldn't have been hiding in a bush, watching their every move. This was their date after all.

Keith knew all this, but he couldn't help it. His mind was spinning with all the reminders of how he could've been kissing Lance instead.

You were too late...

If you hadn't left for the BoM, this wouldn't have happened...

If you had been nice to him instead of being his rival, he could've been yours...

You're a coward..

He'd never love you....

Keith stroked Kosmo gently, staring out into the distance. It had been a day since Lance and Allura's second date and Keith felt awful. He was on top of the black lion, staring into the sunset, much like before. He wiped away the pretty much dry tears that had been resting on his cheeks.

"The sunset again, huh?" Keith quickly turned his head to see Lance wearing a tuxedo. After realising who it was Keith simply just turned back to the sunset and continued to stroke Kosmo.

"Yeah... It's a nice view" He replied, trying his best to stop his voice from cracking.

"I just wanted to thank you for giving me the confidence I needed for me and Allura's first date. We're going on another one tonight" Lance said, sitting next to Keith.

"No problem.." Keith said, trying to keep his composure.

"Are you okay? You seem off" Lance asked, putting his hand on Keith's leg. Keith flinched a little before turning towards Lance and nodding. He didn't trust his voice right now. The black paladin couldn't help but stare at Lance's soft pink lips, the ones that should've been his. He hated how those same lips had touched Allura's lips more than once.

"Good. I actually came here to ask you something" Lance said, fiddling with his bow tie nervously. Keith sat up a little, wondering what this question could be. He could feel his cheeks start to heat up.

"W-What is it..?" Keith asked, noticing his heart start to beat faster.

"I was wondering if you would want..."

This was it! He's asking you out!

"To go out..."

He's gonna ask you! It's happening!

"On a date with..."

Keith opened his mouth to answer but then...

"My sister. She asked me to put a good word in for her. I mean I'm not gonna do that but..."

Keith couldn't hear Lance over the sound of his dreams being crushed.

Stupid. He's not asking you out.

Keith had felt a lot of physical, mental and emotional pain but that had been the worse pain over all. He felt tears start rimming his eyes so he turned his head away as quick as he could, catching the eye of Lance.

"Hey are you okay?" Lance asked, tilting his head a bit.

"F-Fine...." Keith replied, his head facing the other way. The tears started to trickle down his face but Lance couldn't see that. Lance didn't need to  see that.

"You know, you can say no if you don't want to. I'm not gonna force you to go out with Veronica" Lance said, chuckling lightly. Keith rubbed his eyes with his sleeve and turned back to Lance, a fake smile plastered on his face.

"It's fine" he said, standing up. "I'll think about it. I'm gonna get going"

"Oh, okay. I've got my date with Allura tonight. Did I already say that?" Lance laughed, adjusting his suit.

"Yeah... You did.." Keith replied, walking away slowly.

Shiro walked down the Atlas corridors, hearing a strange noise coming from the main control room. He opened the door, prepared for the worst but even Shiro, the former Black paladin, captain of Atlas, was not prepared enough for this. The first thing he noticed when entering the room was Keith, hunched over one of the panels with his face buried into his hands.

"Keith? Are you okay?" Shiro asked, walking over to the boy. Keith stood up and Shiro could now see the streams of tears running down his face. It wasn't just small drops, this was full on sobbing to the point where the tears bounced off of his face and hit the cool metal floor. Keith threw himself into a Shiro hug.

"I-It hurts S-Shiro it h-hurts s-so bad.." Keith said, burying his face into Shiro's shoulder. Shiro patted Keith's back with his metal hand, still confused about the situation.

"What hurts Keith? Are you injured?"

"I-I was t-too late. I-I'm s-so stupid. I s-should've asked s-sooner. I-I'm such a b-bad friend." Keith sobbed, shaking violently.

"Asked who what? Keith, talk to me" Shiro was still trying to get the answers to what had made Keith this sad. Keith barely ever cries, nevermind full on sobbing.

"I-I'm a disappointment. I-I shouldn't l-love s-someone who's a-already t-taken" Keith mumbled.

"Who? Allura?"

"N-No! L-Lance! I-I've loved h-him since the G-Garrison S-Shiro. I-I was t-too late" Shiro understood now. Deep down Shiro knew Keith loved Lance but he thought he was imagining things. Shiro tightened his hug a little more.

"W-Why does i-it hurt s-so m-much S-Shiro? W-Why does it f-feel l-like n-nothing is w-worth it a-anymore" Keith sobbed, taking in quick and sharp breaths.

"It's the feeling of not being able to have someone you love. Believe me, I know the feeling" Shiro said, thinking back to his old fiance. "How about we sit down and talk, yeah?" Keith nodded slightly and pulled himself away from the hug, wiping the tears that were soon replaced with more tears.

This was going to be a tough heart break to over come.

That wasn't that bad to write. I'm sorry if the love stuff is too much. I haven't exactly "fell in love" properly yet which is why I find it hard to write about love because I don't really have personal experience. Just so you know, I did like season eight to some extent. No, I didn't like the whole Allurance arc and I wish Shiro and Keith could've talked more but hey, it's all good. Anyways, I hope enjoyed!
