~Keith Meets Krolia~

An AU where Keith and Krolia meet but through a different way.

Based on Season 2.

Third P.O.V

"Attention paladins! A Blade has requested to land in the castle. Meet me in the hangar so we can see what their business is. Make sure you stay alert!" Allura shouted through the castle speakers. Keith didn't quite like the way she told them to stay alert seeing as the Blade are their allies but he decided to let her off. After all, if his planet was destroyed by that race, he'd probably hold a bit of a grudge.

Keith and the other paladins quickly made their way to the hangar just as the Blade ship landed. Before Allura could explain anything the Blade hopped out but something was off. They were in the Galra Empire's armour. All four paladins quickly summoned their bayards.

"What are you doing here!? How come you have a Blade's ship!?" Shiro yelled. The "Blade" took a step back and held their arms up in a surrender.

"Do not shoot. I'm an undercover Blade who's just come from one of the Galra Empire's outposts. Kolivan requested that I make my way here immediately. I'm assuming you paladins have a message?" The Blade spoke in a calm manner even when four weapons were within a short distance of them.

"I don't recall any messages we had to deliver to the Blade of Marmora." Allura stated, glaring the galra down. "I'm not quite convinced that you aren't a spy. Do you have your Blade?"

"No, I'm afraid not. I gave it to someone a long time ago." The masked galra said.

"So we're supposed to believe that you're a true Blade of Marmora troop when your reason for being here doesn't make any sense and you just happen to have Galra Empire armour on and no Blade? How stupid do you think we are!?" Allura spat, clenching her fists.

"My apologises, princess. I am just as confused as you are. I can promise you that all Kolivan told me was to arrive here and explain myself. He told me that everything would make sense once I got here but I can see that's not the case."

Shiro put his hand on Allura's shoulder, noticing the way her nostrils flared and her eyes widened, as if she was going to punch the visitor.

"Princess, please remember that the Blade of Marmora is an extremely secretive group. Zarkon's Empire probably isn't even aware of Kolivan's name. I know it's not much to go by but Kolivan wouldn't send any of his Blades out on their own if it wasn't important. If worse comes to worse, we can apprehend them and lock them away, okay?" Shiro reasoned. Allura seemed to look the galra up and down before letting out a sigh.

"Fine. But paladins, keep your bayards out. For now let's sit down and I'll contact Kolivan." Allura announced, still not looking that satisfied.

"Excellent! Would any of you like a drink?" Coran asked.

After a few minutes everyone was sitting at the table sipping on something similar to apple juice. The galra had taken their helmet off, revealing that they were a female. Keith couldn't help but stare at her, feeling as if he recognised her in some way. She denied Coran's drink and sat nervously on the edge of her chair, as if she would run away at any second. Honestly, she wasn't making herself look any less suspicious.

"I've contacted Kolivan but it might be a while before he responds. For now,  tell us about yourself." Allura said, still eyeing the Blade. Keith took a large sip of his "apple juice" until...

"Well my name is Krolia Kogane."

He spat it all out.

Shiro patted him on the back as he choked out the tightness in his throat. He knew if he were to speak his voice would crack but that wasn't his main concern right now.
