~A Christmas Vacation~

We're almost there folks. Voltron is ending in under 24 hours and I am at school when it goes live :'). This is a chapter I wanted to get out before season 8 hits because it's a Christmas chapter and it'll hopefully stop your internal panicking. Also I kinda ruined the whole Christmas vacation for them last time. Here we goOooooooOooOooOo!

You guessed it. It's based on season 2.

Christmas was a happy time and the paladins were going to make sure it was for them too. Even with the war against Zarkon, the team knew they wanted a Christmas vacation. So they located an icy planet, typed the coordinates and got ready for a great time in the snow...

Keith's P.O.V

"I'm so exciteddd!" Lance said, jumping around the room. "I'm gonna beat you guys at a snow ball fight!"

"Oh you're on!" Pidge yelled, giving Lance a smug smile.

"Guys, wait until we get outside. Then you can trash talk each other" Shiro said, putting his dad voice on. Just at that moment Coran came in with a huge box. He placed it down on the table and we all gathered around. The box was filled with Christmas hats, jumpers, gloves and more things to stay warm.

"Alteans also celebrate something similar to Christmas. It's called something different and it's at a different time but the main colour themes are same and it's based in cold weather" Coran explained, picking up a Christmas hat and placing it on Hunk's head.

"Cool! I want a Christmas jumper!" Hunk said, reaching into the box and pulling out a jumper than said 'Cooking King'.

"Hunk by law you have to wear that because it suits you so well" Lance said, pulling out a jumper saying 'Kiss me under the dandlebee' "What's a dandlebee?"

"It's said that when you are under the dandlebee tree, you must kiss the lucky person next to you. I brought this one because I thought it would suit you Lance" Coran said. It must be the same thing as mistletoe. Lance pouted and we snickered. It really did suit him. Pidge started digging into the box and pulled out a green jumper saying 'Don't wake me up early to open my presents'

"Wow Coran you know me so well" Pidge said, walking away to go and put the jumper on. Allura pulled out a pink jumper that said 'I'm not your mum' and Shiro pulled out a black jumper saying 'I'm not your daddy'. Let's just say we all laughed at that one. I spotted a red thin jumper and pulled it out, reading what it said.

'I wont get cold. My soul is already freezing'

Lance took a peak at mine and started laughing. I rolled my eyes and smiled. It was a little true after all. We all separated to get into our new jumpers, grabbing a few things on our way out. Well, the others did. I'm already happy with my fingerless gloves and I didn't feel like wearing a scarf. All I picked up was a Christmas hat. We all gathered back in the control room and noticed Coran now had an orange jumper saying 'My moustache is bigger than your future'. We all found that funny.

We arrived at the planet in a short amount of time and exited the castle. When we got out we were met with a snowy wonderland. We were in a mini valley type thing, meaning we would be able to roll down the hill. A river of ice had frozen over, creating the perfect rink. The whole valley was covered in a blanket of untouched snow that reflected the light of the two suns that shone bright in the sky. It was beautiful.

"Last one down the hill is a reldonus feligus!" Coran shouted, confusing us all. Everyone, except me, started rolling down the hill as quick as they could. It's not that I didn't want to do it, it's just rolling down a hill of snow isn't really the type of thing I would do. Coran reached the bottom, followed by Lance. Pidge and Hunk were after that and eventually Allura and Shiro. They all laughed and smiled at each other. It looked like great fun. Shiro noticed me standing at the top and sighed.
