Keith One Shots

~Klance Valentine's Day~

Keith and Lance had been together for about 8 months. Their relationship was a good one and they gave each other plenty of attention, but never too much attention. If they were on an important mission, they wouldn't let their love for each other distract them. Of course, as the war got harder to fight, they spent more time talking and thinking about the Galran Empire more than anything else. Events started to creep up on them, just like this one did.

Keiths P.O.V

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock beeping. Without opening my eyes, I reached over to the alarm clock and started feeling for the off button. After about 20 seconds of useless feeling, I grabbed the wire and yanked the plug out of the wall instead. That was when I realised that was the most pointless thing i could've done because I still had to get up.

Slowly, I sat up and looked at my calendar. All of the Paladins kept an Earth calendar and clock in their rooms, just so they could feel a little more connected to Earth. 

I grabbed a pen and walked over to the calendar, ready to mark off the date. "14th of February? I feel like thats an important date" I said to myself. I was too tired to think so I crossed off the day and went in the bathroom to have a shower and get changed.

I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a bowl of food goo. After sitting down at the table, I glanced around the room and noticed all the hearts that were hung up on the ceiling. I had seen Lance hanging them up in the training room yesterday, but when  I asked him what they were for, he laughed and walked off as if he thought I was joking. I eventually decide to shrug it off and i carry on eating.

A few moments later, Pidge enters the kitchen. She looks at me with a smirk. "I thought you would've been bringing Lance breakfast in bed Keith."

"Uhhh why?" I ask, giving her a confused expression. She looks at me, as if she was trying to figure out if I was joking or not. She must of thought I was serious because she asked "Keith. How could you forget!? Lance has been dropping hints all week!" 

I thought about anything Lance had said that would help me figure out what was so important today. Pidge must of noticed that I was having no luck because she walked over to me and showed me her Altean phone. On the screen was a notification that said in big bold letters 'Valentine's Day'

Wait it was Valentine's Day!? WHAT!? 

I dropped my spoon into the bowl of food goo and looked up at Pidge, who was snickering with her hand over her mouth. I was about to start complaining about how much trouble I was in and what I could do but when I spoke, the only words that came out of my mouth were "I'm screwed"

"Yeah. Have fun with that." was all Pidge said as she grabbed a bowl of food goo and walked out of the room.

I mentally- no. Physically slapped myself at how stupid I was for forgetting. With all the decorations and Lance's extra flirting and cuddling I should've at least realise something was off. What do I do now?!

I took a glance and my phone and saw that the Earth time was 6:30. And yes, I do get up earlier than necessary. I just like to have some peace and quiet before all the other Paladins wake up. Lance normally gets up at around 7 or 7:30, depending on how lazy he is. I might just have enough time to make him a gift!

I get up from the table and start rushing around the castle, looking for presents I could get Lance.

I started by looking for a gift. There really isn't much I can give him. I burst into my room and begin rummaging through my stuff, looking for something I could call a gift. I didn't find anything helpful, but I found a pen to write with.
