"She always talked about you," I pet Dusty. I leave the room.
I bump into Kai. "Caleb, where were you man?"
"I needed to rest."
"Alright. Hey, who are you calling out to?"
"Well maybe my old folks?" I said unsure, "You?"
"Probably my Grandma."Kai changes his expression."There's something I've been meaning to ask you." I started.
"Yeah?"
"How'd you join this?" I went over my main question into asking him about Rikkun. "Word gets out with the small messengers here in the Clans. I needed days for myself anyways. A getaway."
I nod.The music lowers into sounds of string and water drops. "Preparations. Find your table. Chat later Caleb." Kai walks off. None of the tables had names. Or numbers. I sat at a random one.
All I had to do is say her name three times. Let my blood drop onto the white cloth and finally finish it with saying "hear my request, let me see before I forget". A small blade was set on each table. A bad representation, but sanity is key. Right?
I slit open a little cut on my finger. Red starts to grow out like a bubble. Each other is different. Everyone is different. Kai took a violate. The man in the mask took his ring. Representing their missed or loved ones. But why does Rikkun represent blood? Wouldn't she had a wolf or cat? Art? Writing?
I suddenly remember my dream of her. How she sat in a wooden chair in a dark room. Blade cutting her skin..
I shook the memory off.
I let the blood drop onto the cloth. If Witchcraft really does exist this would be something.
"Here my request," I say lowly, "let me see before I forget."A pink peddle gently lands in the middle. I look up to see in front of me.
"Hello again," she smiles. I felt my heart drop a beat. An aurora glowed her outline and body. "See? Told you were an angel," I joked. Still hurt. She rolls her eyes playfully, "Charming. Anyways, how did you find this place?.." she looks around. "Miguel showed me."
"That stupid cat! How did he know?"
I laugh, "I dunno, but I'm glad I'm able to at least see you." She smiles softly, "Yeah.""You kept alot from me."
"I know.."
"You being attacked just to save me, being jumped on, you did alot."
"I'm sorry. I did tell you I'm not ladylike," she said fixing her brown hair. "I-I can fix this," I said, "Come with me?"
Her eyes look down to my extended hand. "How can you take a nonliving person?" She asks.I remember all her sweet words. Her cute smile and bubbly giggles.
"You told me once if love was true we'd find a way."
Memories of her running away from back of the school.
Rikkun eyes close. "I've broken many rules for you. I'm not ready to set my rest.."
"Then fight with me.."
"I can't fight."
"Yes you can. Please.."I grab her hand. It was warm. She was still here. She wasn't a ghost that goes through! Her eyes widen as she looks into mine.
The feeling of seeing her in that dress for the first time came back.
I felt, peaceful. Heart beats, I could hear my own heart. "C-Clay." Her shaken soft voice squeaked. I felt pains of shocks in my hand. I tightened. "I'm not letting go, Rikkun."
She looks at everyone, they were watching. I knew she was embarrassed. Kai looks straight at me in disbelief.A large spark exploded and knocked everything down. I kept my grip on her hand. A felt cold harsh wind attacking me. "Please..you'll get hurt!" She cries out.
"Rikkun!" I grab a hold of her body and pull it close to mine. I hug her tightly not letting go. I shut my eyes. Rikkun's hand grips onto my shoulder. The hard wind blows and I heard glass breaking. "Watch out!" Rikkun shouts. I open my eyes. Rikkun turns her body around and lifts her arms up in a cross. The aura disappears and her skin seems more vivid. The shattered glass pieces stab into the sides of her arms she used to shield. She wanted to scream of its pain. I held her before she fell to the side. "Why did you do that?!" I yell at her. "Why did you call for me?" She sternly said. She smiles.
I felt a tear slide down my cheek.
"He broke the rules.."
"Black magic."
"Disgusting.."
"Devils work."
"We're going to be cursed now.."
"The tale is real."
"Devil's angel."
"He brought the dead to life."
"Witch!"
"He's not part of the Clans!"
"He brought back the Demon!"
"He's a false!"
"He lied to our leader!"
"Stupid boy!"
"We're going to die.."
"Someone should gauged his eyes out!"
"We can't let him out!"
"What if he decides to bring back Kovu?"
"He wouldn't..."
"Broke the rules..."
"Disgrace!"
"No respect for the dead.."
We looked at everyone. Whispering and glaring at us. Me."Why did she save him?"
"The winds had wanted him dead!"
"She disobeyed she wind.."
"She's a traitor."
"Traitor wolf.."
"Stupid girl."
"Slutty thing she has."
"Shame on her."
"She protected a man.."
"Man comes first in her life."
"Bitch."
"Slut."
"Demon!"
"Blacksheep"
"Witch!"Rikkun stands back up and looks at her Clan members. And everyone else. "You all..all are foolish!"
My eyes widen.
"You call yourself family after what she did to me?!" Her arms fell onto her sides. Blood dripping down. "I remember every bit of it! And you all laughed it away!" She struggle to take a step forward. "You all are cowards and lower than a scum."
The Wolf members drew out their weapons. Knifes and hand guns. "That's no way to talk to us like that! We trained you and helped you!"
"You helped nothing! All you did was trade me and kick me out!" Rikkun kept her calm.
I look at her. The back of her. I saw a girl of independency and truth. How could she be a demon like they say?
"You all..hide under those toy masks. My eyes will be the last thing you see in your sleep." She stood tall. Shoulders back.
"Rikkun," I say. She turns to me. Eyes so soft. "Let's go home," she said with a warm smile. I nod my head.I helped her leave the room. And as we were about to head up the slide down to here, a member had threw a shattered glass at Rikkun. It stabbed near her neck, at her shoulder. We turn to see. Lion mask. "Trujillo?" She questioned. I look to Rikkun then back to the boy in the mask. Kevin? "A stupid lion shouldn't be by themselves."
"It was better when you were dead!"
"I suppose. I wouldn't want to see your ugly face anyways."He throws a larger glass at her. Thigh.
Rikkun and I exchange faces.
"Clay, go loose!"
