15 Reasons Why | "You Could Save Her?"

"She's fragile, carefull.."

"Rikkun, why didn't you just leave me?" I asked as we walked underneath the highway bridge. "You really want to ask that again?" she stops and turns to me, "You know how many people told me to forget about you!? Plenty. That's why I don't have friends anymore. I do everything for you smile- for you not to go somewhere else.." She wanted to cry but she hugged her cat. "Clay, I just couldn't let you go like that. You stole my heart the same way you said I did.."

I can't understand why still. Though I knew what she means. Rikkun was just her. I can't change that about her..

"Can we just..not talk about this?" She looks away, tears sliding down her cheeks, "I hate remembering it all. I can't stop that. That's why I was always thinking positive-"
"By leaving the state?"
"It wasn't my choice!" She looks back to me. Her teeth grinding, "I was scared for you more than myself.. I left because of that stupid paper and because they threatened me. Staffs.." She holds Dusty closer to her. She was breathing a little shaken.

She did warn herself not to cry so much because then her chest would hurt badly..

I go to hug her, "I'm sorry, I was scared too..I didn't mean for any of this to happen to you-"
"Us.." she sighs.

I felt that.

"You're always blaming yourself, Clay. I know you take some things hard on yourself, but I never liked that about you." She looks up to me, "It hurts me too..and it's ok. You know I'll always stay with you."

Again with those kind words. It didn't bother me, but it did made me question a lot. How can she know for sure? Maybe one day I'll look back on this day. Yeah. That's what I'll do. So if she actually wins. Her little witchy ways. I can just reward her with something she wants the most. But..what exactly does she wants the most?..

I pull her into a big and tight hug, "Babe. It's gonna be OK. Wanna know why?"

"Mmhm?"

I kiss her head, "We got each other. We'll pull through..I know it."
