I look to see Rikkun firing at the cars behind us. Right on our tail. "Who are they?" I ask looking back at the road. "Just some old gangs."
"Gangs?!"
She stops and looks to me, embarrassed and a little awkward look, "My hometown.." she sounded a little sad. She sets her gun down, "I'm terrible, huh?"
I couldn't say a word. Focusing on driving and less time to think of words. Stress and life taking even. Like a ticking bomb inside my heart. She sighs looking down at her handgun. She aims the gun up to the shattered hole through the back glass window.

I could see hate in her eyes. Hawk like and pure glare. She had aimed for their tires. She sits down correctly and clicks the gun to safety. She tosses it on he floor of the car. She turns to the side and hugs her knees. Completely, her back faced me. "What's wrong?" I ask and slowed the car's speed down as I noticed how far away from those people were now. "You bringing me back to life, all this, and I'm hungry." I chuckle a little. At least she was honest.

Thunder shouts above as the rain starts to pour. Rikkun jumps and leans away from the window. I park in a resting area. I say, "It's too heavy to see through the rain," as I flipped the wipers on. Rikkun crawls to the back long seat and lays down holdings herself. "Rikku, it's OK.." I go behind and hold her to lay on me. She was so loosen but her fear was there. She grabs my hoodie tightly, like how a baby grabs ones finger. I hug her. The rain was coming inside from the broken window. It didn't reach us. Thankfully. "I'm sorry for dragging you into all this."
"It's OK, Rikkun."
"Sanner?" She softly said my last name. The phrase and way our old class did when she joined in, "I like that name." She said as she nuzzles herself to get comfortable. She slightly dozes off.

"Maybe you'll be a Sanner someday," I kiss her forehead and watch the rain pour.
