"Morning." I say to Harry upon entering his room, which is filled with moving boxes. Harry is sitting in his usual spot on the couch, reading. I look around, waiting for an explanation, but he says nothing. "Did I miss something?" I ask. He looks up at me, shrugging.
"I'm going home, I was discharged." He says casually. Harry is leaving? When was this decided and why didn't I know before now?
"Why.. How? I just-" He stops me before I can say anything else. "My parents want me to come home. They want to recconect or some shit." He tells me. "And you agreed?" I ask. I have so many questions to ask, but my highest concern is what is going to happen with Harry while he isn't here.
"Yeah, surprisingly." I smile, trying to be happy for Harry, but in all honesty, I'm going to miss him. "That's good." I say, unsure what else I can say. I take a seat next to Harry. Part of me is a little worried he is going to push me off the couch, I mean, I can never gauge his mood.
"You don't sound very happy for me." He says, smirking. I shake my head, "No, I am, really." I say, trying to convince him that I'm glad he's getting out of here, when I'm really not. "You're not telling me something." He says. He places his hand on my thigh, causing me to flinch at the unusual gesture from Harry. "Alexa, what's the matter?" Why is Harry being so kind? And... unlike the usual Harry?
I shrug, "I'll miss you." He laughs slightly, "You'll miss me? Why? I have been a dick to you since your first day." I laugh, "I know, and now I'm wondering why you're being so nice to me right now."
"Because I recently realised that you had good intentions, and I shouldn't have been so hard on you." He leans closer to me, and looks me in the eyes. "Thankyou." He whispers. For a moment, his eyes move down to my lips, but before anything happens, he stands up, and continues packing his stuff.
I stand up, feeling slightly flustered at what just happened. "Do you need help packing?" I ask. He shakes his head, "No. I'm fine." There he goes again, blocking me out. I look down at his wrist, and see the cuts on his arm peeking out of his shirt sleeve.
"Harry, your arms." He pulls his sleeve down, "That's none of your business. How many times do I have to tell you?" I knew his kindness was only temporary. "Obviously if that's going on, you're not really okay to go home."
He turns around to look at me, anger present in his eyes. "My parents said I could leave this shit hole, so I'm leaving. Alright? It's up to them." He says to me, raising his voice. I feel incredibly scared of him right now, but I need to get my point across.
"They don't know you're doing that though! If they were aware, they wouldn't be letting you go home!" I fight back. He takes a step towards me, and we are standing only centermetres apart. Harry is much taller than my, and his breathing is heavy, making me feel tiny and scared.
"I'm leaving. If you say anything I will never forgive you, Alexa." He says quietly, looking me right in the eyes. "Fine. That's fine. I just-" He stops me. "Leave."
I frown, "Harry, I'm just trying to help!" He points to the door, "LEAVE!" He yells at me. I can tell that I should leave now, and not push him any further. I turn around and head out of his room. "Just trying to help." I say under my breath, not expecting Harry to hear, but he does.
"I don't need your fucking help!" He yells at me.

"Why didn't you tell me he was leaving?" I say to Natalie as I walk into the reception area. She sighs, "I'm sorry." I shouldn't be mad at Natalie, but she had to know about this and she could have at least told me. I hated finding out by seeing Harry's room packed up.
"How long has this been planned? How long have you known?" I ask her. She comes out from behind her desk and we sit down at the couches. "About a week. After the blow up when his parents visited, they decided they wanted him home, to reconnect or something. They want to fix their relationship with him, Alexa, and if that's what they want we can't change it."
"I thought he hated them." I say, feeling more annoyed at Harry's parents rather than Harry. "He does, but unfortunately he hates this place more than them. And it's really not up to him, his parents pay the bill and make the decisions till he's eighteen."
"You think he'd stay if it were up to him?" I ask. Natalie and I both know that if were up to Harry, he wouldn't stay here, but I'd like to imagine that he would. I know it isn't fair for me to want Harry to be here, because it honestly doesn't look like much fun. But I like Harry, and I don't want a new patient.
"Well, he's eighteen in four months, maybe he'll come back." Natalie laughs, "Who am I kidding, he won't come back here." A tear slips down my cheek at the realisation, that Harry really isn't going to be around anymore. And the fact that he's eighteen in a few months, means that his parents won't be able to make him come back, and as Natalie said, he won't come back here.
"Hey, why are you crying? You should be happy that he's getting out." I am happy, but the fact is, Harry's not okay, and I'm worried about how he'll go without this place. He has free will at home, and the cuts on his arms and my biggest concern.
"I am, I'll just miss him." I say, hiding the truth about the source of my tears. "I have some paperwork to do, I'll see you later." I excuse myself, and go to my office. I feel upset, angry and annoyed. Something like that. As soon as I get to my office, and close my door, tears leave my eyes. I shouldn't be so upset, Harry is just a patient.
That's all he is, a patient. A patient that I have recently been getting to know, and maybe I have even developed feelings towards him. Obviously they are feelings I could never act on, because Harry cannot be in the same room as me without yelling at me at one point. I honestly don't know if Harry likes me, or if I am just another nurse to him. My mind travels to our encounter in his room not long ago. He was so close to kissing me, and I thought for once he'd let his wall down, but I was wrong.
(i know this is short but next chapter will be longer - i hope - haha xo)
