Shawna's POV
"How's the baby doing?" The nurse asked me.
"Great," I smiled. "The baby is wonderful."
The nurse put the gel on my stomach and slid the instrument around.
"And how are you?"
"Exhausted," I let out a small chuckle. "But I'm good."
"Well everything looks amazing! Just 3 more weeks." She smiled.
"Thank you!" I said. She wiped my stomach and I sat up slowly with the help of Justin.
"Take good care of her," the nurse said to Justin.
"I always do," he smiled.
"Oh yes, he's amazing." I said.
"That's great, see you next week!" The nurse waved.
We left and Justin took me out to an early dinner. I had a salad. After that we headed home. Justin put in a movie, our normal nightly routine. Watch a movie and cuddle. Justin was gentle with his touch and I snuggled up against him. His warmth felt amazing.
"Are you tired?" He asked me at around midnight.
"Yeah, but will I sleep? No." I laughed a little.
Justin kissed my forehead.
"Get some sleep," I told him.
"But I can't if you don't sleep."
"Whatever, thanks for being so thoughtful, I'll try to sleep but i don't know."
"Just try," he smiled. "I love you."
"I love you too baby," I kissed him and then rolled over to the other side. I fell asleep within a few minutes, surprisingly.
I woke up sweating, I was panicking. It was 3:30 am.
"JUSTIN!" I yelled.
"Huh?" He woke up and sat up quickly.
"I think it's time," I said frantically.
Justin jumped out of bed quickly. He went into the nursery. I sat up and went to put on some clothes. I leaned against the dresser as I tried to catch my breath. I grabbed a random shirt and some leggings. I slipped on the shirt, but the leggings took awhile.
"Justin!" I cried. "Hurry."
He ran back in the room.
"I was getting the car seat ready."
"The pain is terrible." I put my hand on his shoulder.
"Deep breaths baby, you ready?"
I nodded as I took deep breaths. He picked me up bridal style and carried me out the door. I kept taking deep breaths. We got down to the bottom floor.
"I NEED MY CAR," Justin yelled at the valet person.
He ran to go get it.
"It's okay baby," Justin said calmly.
I nodded and tried to relax. My legs were shaky, I was nervous. But I was in so much pain. The car was outside and Justin pushed through the door. He through money at the valet person and opened the car door for me. He set me in the seat and I buckled up.
Justin drove quickly to the hospital. When we got there I walked with the help of Justin under my arm. We got inside and the nurses had a wheelchair for me. Justin had a diaper bag in his car for this moment and he carried it with him as we went into a room.
