Two weeks had passed since that day in his bedroom with Maxx and to be honest, Danny had never felt any better.
He was no longer warring with himself, imagining different scenarios about how he could've handled the situation with Max.
They've finally settled everything after three years and Danny couldn't be any happier.
He had also talked to Oliver, Colby's brother and had straightened everything out with him. Danny no longer wanted to feel guilty, no matter how miniscule, over a family having disputes with each other.
He had even begged Maxx to forgive Dalton and Colby for what they'd done and Maxx had asked him to do the same because he knew how spiteful Danny could be.
To be honest, he had no problems with it.
He forgave them but there's no way that he's forgetting the heartache that they'd cause him, long time coming or not.
And now? He had gone out with the family to a massage parlour where he was currently being pampered. He had one week left before his Alpha came for him or he would receive a letter saying that he was unsuccessful and that he should try again next year.
He wasn't too worked up about it.
"Hmmm," he groaned as his feet were being massaged by a very talented Beta lady.
He was getting over Maxx and he couldn't be happier.

Hahaha, okay, he wasn't that cold hearted but still, he was moving on and in was about time in his opinion.
Three years were long enough.
"Dan Dan, look! Look at my pretty nails! " Kylies' giggling brought him out of his thoughts and he turned his head, eyes half-lidded to look at her nails.

He smiled at the sight. "Whoa, they are really pretty. Think I should have mine done like that?"
Kylie giggled and shook her head. "Noooo, this is for kids, silly."
He chuckled softly, looking at her with affection as she turned back to look at the nail lady, yammering away in excitement while said lady was looking at her, a smile on her face as she nodded along to whatever Kylie was saying.
He turned back around and sighed softly as the lady massaged oil into his feet.
He really needed this. It's been a while since he'd gotten a full body massage so having this outing with the family was just what he needed.
What he didn't need was the constant looks of longing that his Mum sent his way.
Yeah, he knew that she hated the thought of him leaving but he hadn't had any time to himself these past two weeks.
