As Danny went back into the dining room, he was pinned by the stares of everyone except Arlo who was nowhere to be seen.

What the hell did they expect? He was tired of letting Phoebe walk all over him because she had the notion that as a girl, that she can do whatever she wanted, say whatever she wanted without consequence.

News flash! He was also a +Female Omega so unlike Alphas and Betas, he could fuck her up without anything happening to him.

So without saying a word, he walked back to his seat and sat down, not looking at anyone even though he could practically  feel their stares, his parents in particular, especially his Mum.

"Before you start, I really don't care what you have to say about this," he started, turning to look at his Mum. "You may call me disrespectful but I'm not about to allow someone to disrespect me in my own home. Phoebe is much older than I am and still acts like a child, and to be honest, I'm sick and tired of hearing you stick up for her while punishing me if I try to retaliate. I'm sorry, but if you don't like that then you can leave."

After saying his piece, he turned back around, not saying anything or looking at anyone as his siblings rejoined them in the dining room, all of them sitting down silently.

Oh wow. Talk about tense.

Wolfie frowned as he looked between them all, finally turning  to look at a silent Danny.

"Okay... We-"

*Ding Dong*

He inwardly breathed a sigh of relief that the doorbell rang because he seriously didn't know what the hell to say in this situation.

As he got up to answer the door, he couldn't help but think that he'd never seen Danny react like that before. Sure, he was a bit stubborn but to be outright rude was...  uncharacteristic of him.

It was pretty cool in his opinion.

Some things he'd learn growing up is that you should never let anyone walk all over you. Respect is earned not given and just because they're your family doesn't mean that you should blindly follow them or allow them to treat you in whatever way they wanted.

He knew that some parents usually favor some of their children more than others and if what Wolfie had determined was true, then Danny's Mum is more inclined to side with his sister than him.

This is why he hated family dynamics, ugh.

He absentmindedly opened the door, his eyes landing on the two banes of his existence.

His day just got a whole lot worse even though he expected them.

A groan left his lips as they smirked at him before pushing past him, entering his house as if they were the owners.

"Wolfie, my dear, is that how you greet your parents?" his Mum drawled, raised an perfectly sculpted eyebrow at him.

He grunted as he closed the door. "I thought that you weren't going to show." Turning around, he nodded at his father who returned the gesture.

His Mum laughed heartily as she took her coat off and handed it to him. "Be a dear and hang the coat for Mummy." She released a soft sigh as she turned to face her husband. "Dear, where is our gift? We mustn't be rude."

His father pulled an envelope out of his pocket and handed it to him. "Our congratulations on your Mating. Now... Where is your Omega?"

It was at that very moment that Wolfie remembered that he still hadn't received the collar for Danny, but to be honest, he really didn't give a damn.
